There are lots of allegations to say he is an alcy, like when he locks himself in his hotel room and gets wrecked whilst the rest of the team are out having dinner (and a few drinks)

But I wouldn't be able to comment on if there is any truth in those allegations

I've heard similar rumours since I've lived in this part of the world. Some sources were credible, some were not. I think it's fair to say he's a serious drinker - and you can't possibly be that way if you're a top sportsman. He's definitely got problems IMO.

FWIW I think he's been a disgrace. No wonder we ****ing lost 5-0.

Although I can understand the likes of Alistair Cook and the rest sticking up for him and having a pop at Fletcher - Fletcher is history and Flintoff is their pal and their team-mate.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

If you recall I said it was a preposterous to make Flintoff captain at the time. Fletcher has to take some responsibility for that awful decision.
I think he has a problem, everyone in pro cricket knows it. I think it's up to Lancashire to sort him out, they should have got him the help he clearly needs years ago. I thought Neil Fairbrother would sort him out but sadly he has slipped into old habits.
                  Very sad

Fletcher has kind of shot himself in the foot then hasnt he? If he knew that Flintoff had a drinking problem and at the time there was a suitable person to captain the team in Strauss then the decision should have been taken.

It may not have changed the result but for english cricket and the pressure that is placed upon Flintoff, it may have given him the bolt out of the blue to sort himself out, thus avoiding the world cup antics.

Flintoff needed a strong captain during that tour. I'm not sure who that should have been, possibly Strauss but who knows. It sounds stupid now but I would have made Tresco captain, it might have sorted him out. One of Tresco's problems (apart from the well documented Vaughan problem) is that he was pissed off he wasn't made captain for that tour. He felt Vaughan had influenced that decision, maybe he did, but that's one of the reasons Tresco felt persecuted.

suddenly the whole fredalo incident at the World Cup is thrown into a new light.
I knew the lad liked a drink and had a weight problem when he was 19/20, but it seems that he never really learned any real lessons and will never build upon his performances of 2005.
