Seriously, if someone incorrectly accused me of gross professional misconduct (similar to what she's experiencing here), even if I was 1 year off retirement and had 2 years to live, I'd want to clear my name.
Kate Moss is really struggling after her drug usage was exposed

      Tennis has a fuddy duddy image though, if you're a model you're no-one unless you're a junkie.

And Kate Moss was guilty. Why doesn't Hingis want to clear her name in the last 50 odd years of her life?

I must admit I find it odd that, if she's as innocent as she says, that she doesn't want to clear her name. Surely it's human nature to want to right any wrongs or personal slurs?

I'm not sure it'll damage her too much in the long run though. Taking copious amounts of coke never harmed Paul Merson's media career.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think Arsey RC is missing the point a bit. I mean, we all know his vituperative stance on drugs but surely there are suggestions here that drug testing is flawed and/or that the tennis authorities tend to be less hardline about drug-testing than the cycling authorities.

Personally I think there's a lot of drug-taking in a lot of sports and cycling has undoubtedly been one of the worst in terms of how widespread it has been, how long it's been going on, the systematic involvement of team managements and the inadequate official responses to the problem. However, people who use cycling as a benchmark against which all other sports can be compared and see it as the apotheosis for doping in sport tend to overlook the positive (no pun intended ) developments and pressures for change within professional cycling.

It's a damned sight more complex than people would believe if all they read is the odd British newspaper article about the Tour of France.

Come on Neil, you know that comment of mine was only in there for your benefit Obviously I didn't mean it and I don't have a particular problem with the Tour.
It was on-going banter, you hate cricket, I hate cycling etc etc.. I don't mean any of it.
If the drug testing is flawed, and of course no system is without them, then the B sample wil be negative.
Even if it is flawed, in this particular case, she's not even going to contest it. That's odd in my opinion for someone who has a lot of achievements in tennis to be labelled a junkie or a cheat and for someone with a champions competitive spirit to just let their name be tarnished with this allegation is very odd.

Anyway, its not the first time she's been dabbling with drugs.

I remember Wimbledon 4 or 5 years ago, she flew into Heathrow from Thailand I think it was. Anyway, this was all covered up apparently, but my mate worked in the drugs dept at the time and he said she was actually in possession of drugs then.

They found half a pound of crack in her knickers.
