    Junior Witter v Demarcus Corley

    I like Junior Witter. I'd like to see him become a World Champ.

    This friday's fight against Corley is gonna be hard - but if Witter catches anybody on the chin - they're gonna be hitting the canvas.

    Witter hasn't had the headlines and publicity he feels he deserves and Friday's his chance to hit the big time. I hope he and Brendan Ingle manage to pull it off.

    HAHAHA I was just about to start this thread after the contender but it seems that you beat me to it mate.

    I want Chop Chop to win, I know that's perhaps a bad thing with Witter being English but to be honest I just can't stand the guy. His constant jibes at Hatton just show what a bitter and cheap little man he is. If he was as talented as Ricky then he would have been a world champion a long time ago and not constantly calling Hatton names to try and make himself feel better and sound harder.

    My prediction...Corley to win by K.O. in the middle rounds because witter just simply isn't good enough.

      Witter said that he will knock Corley out because he is a far faster and heavier hitter than Floyd Mayweather....Yeah that's bollocks as you and the whole world knows.

          Maybe Witter should have watched this fight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8R5uWDm65Q and to be honest, that clip doesnt do any justice to Mayweathers power and dominance in that fight.

                Dont think he is anywhere near top of the food chain though. But he has to be a decent boxer to be where he is granted.

                    He's been really poor in has last 2-3 fights so he'll have to pull a rabbit out of the hat on Friday. Apparently Floyd Mayweather will be working Corleys corner on Friday as well.

                    I wonder if Hatton will be there to meet Mayweather?

                      Didn't think he was really poor. If you're really poor you're not getting past N'Dou or Kotelnik, neither of whom are complete jokers. I was hapy to see him run the distance a couple of times after years of two and three round blow outs against, frankly, sub par opposition. N'Dou took Cotto and Mitchell the twelve too remember. I think Witter struggled in the middle of the fight quite badly, but he almost took him out late on too. Decent experience for Witter. Gave him a scrap against someone who has operated at the top level, and he couldn't blow him away. He should have a plan for that now. If he doesn't, and he didn't learn from it, then he's a bellwhiff.
