Good sparring partner Floud got himself there in Carlos Baldomir. I expect Mayweather to be very very prepared for Ricky.
I would like to see who Ricky has to mimic Floyds fighting style. Have heard nothing about that to date.
If Ricky can get in close, he has every chance. One thing I will say in defence of Ricky. He will never have come up against a fighter with such a come forward agressive style as Ricky. Baldomir will be good preparation for Floyd though.
Baldimor is similar in style to Ricky in the sense that he walks forward. He's physical to but that's where the similarities end. Ricky is much quicker, stronger and mobile than Baldimor and if Floyd's expecting Ricky to be very similar then he'll be surprised come fight night, imho.

Ricky's been sparring with some fighters provided by GBP. He apparently has quite a few who mimick different parts of Mayweathers style.

Mayweather has also been sparring with the very average Lovemore N'Dou. How that'll help him other than having someone to punch is beyond me.

Check out the boxing section at www.newsnow.co.uk all the best sites and stories are normally listed in there.

As for the Khan fight, it's his 21st birthday. Greame Earl isn't exactly the gift he'll be looking for though, imho. This could, depending on how Earl has recovered from the Katsidas fight, be a very close fight and a good warm up for the Hatton fight. I think Khan will win but it could be alot closer than he hopes.

Mayweather really is a ****. That bit where he's driving along and deliberately runs two red lights, oooh how cool you are Floyd. How funny would it be if he got done for that by the police like all those cocks on youtube

                              Q&A: Floyd Mayweather
                              FOXSports.com

Floyd Mayweather is generally considered the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, and he fully expects to remain so after Saturday night's fight with Ricky Hatton.

The fight can be seen live on HBO pay-per-view Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

FOXSports.com caught up with Mayweather to talk about the fight and about the fans coming to see the fight.

                              FOXSports.com: How's training camp going?

Floyd Mayweather: Training camp's coming along great. I've had great sparring for my preparation. I'm just looking forward to going out there on the 8th and showing fans why I'm the best at what I do.

FOXSports.com: You've been though this a bunch of times. In the last week or so before a big fight like this, what goes through your mind?

FM: The fight will get here when it gets here. Right now you're at the point where your at the final week of preparation. I've done everything I need to do to perform at my best next Saturday. And that's what I'm looking to do.

FOXSports.com: Why do you expect to beat Hatton?

FM: Why do I expect to beat Ricky Hatton? Because I'm the best at what I do.

FOXSports.com: What do you think his strengths are as a fighter?

FM: I don't know, and I really don't care. I'm just being totally honest with you. I'm not concerned with anything he brings to the table. To be honest, he's really no different from any other fighters I've faced.

My approach is a little different from most fighters. I approach every fight with the same attitude, and that's: Prepare myself to be the best I can be. And as long as I'm the best I can be, I'm not concerned about anything anyone else can bring to the table. Because none of these guys — I repeat — none of these guys can beat me. I mean, I've proven that in five weight classes, winning six world titles in under nine years, and remained undefeated. If you can tell me the name of one other fighter who's done that, I'll sit right here quietly and listen.

FOXSports.com: Obviously, you think you're the best. What is it that you feel makes you better than anyone else?

FM: I know that I've been blessed with a gift. I've been blessed with a God-given talent. Not only that, my work ethic is head and shoulders above every other fighter out there. What happens a lot of times when you've been blessed with a gift, and you continue to hone it and work at it and work at it and don't take things for granted ... I'm really probably working harder now than when I won my first title.

I treat every fight like I've never earned anything and like I've never achieved anything in the sport. So it continues to keep me focused and working hard and grounded. So with those two things, when you've been blessed with a God-given talent, and you continue to work hard and have belief in the man upstairs, then I think it's hard to be denied.

FOXSports.com: A lot's been said about the large amount of English fans who are going to be in town to root for Ricky. Is that something you think about at all?

FM: I kind of tend to disagree with you on that. I think he's a very popular fighter in the UK. He's probably in the top two of their popularity. There's one thing I can say about the fans in the UK: They're very knowledgeable boxing fans. I will give them props for that. They're very, very knowledgeable. So they know what their hometown guy can bring to the table. They know that this is by far, by far the biggest thing he's been even remotely close to. And they know that it's a dream come true for him to even share the ring with me. They understand that. They know what I'm bringing to the table.

With all that being said and done, with all the fans he's bringing with him to Las Vegas, they're actually coming to see me. And this is why. If you want the facts, I can give you the facts. He's never sold out a fight before in the U.S. He's at his highest point, his peak in popularity right now. Wouldn't you agree?

                              FOXSports.com: Sure.

FM: So his last three fights have been in the U.S., and not one of those three fights has remotely come close to selling out. So you have to ask yourself as a fan, "If Ricky Hatton's fights have never sold out before, why in the hell did this fight sell out in 30 minutes?" And he's fought no one near the level of competition of myself. So if his fans have had unlimited access to tickets for his previous three fights in the United States, and they didn't come close to selling out, why the hell did this fight sell out so fast?

I can only give you the facts, though. In actuality, they're coming to see me. They're coming to see the best in the sport do what I do, and they feel honored that I'm giving him an opportunity to share the ring with me. And that's really what it's about, giving the guy an opportunity.

FOXSports.com: So if you win this fight on Saturday —

FM: WHEN I win this fight.

FOXSports.com: Sorry. WHEN you win the fight on Saturday, what do you feel you'll have left to prove in your career?

FM: I don't have nothin' else to prove. My legacy's already cemented.

FOXSports.com: So what do you think that legacy is?

FM: I'll be 39-0, 25 knockouts, six-time world champion, five different weight classes, under nine years, and remaining undefeated. Fought the best of my era, dominated my opposition...

And then, when my career's all said and done, whenever that might be, the fans will be able to judge and see what my place in history is. I don't gotta tell people, "Oh, I'm the best in the business." I'm universally recognized as that. They know. They know.

FOXSports.com: What do you see happening after this fight for yourself?
                              advertisement

FM: I have no idea. I'm not thinking about anything other than destroying this guy on the 8th.

FOXSports.com: What do you think viewers should expect to see on Dec. 8?

FM: I think you'll see a very, very exciting, entertaining fight, for as long as it lasts. I know he's going to come out and lay it on the line because he's not going to want to let his country down. But he's bitten off way more than he can chew. I will be able to go out and show him, from Round 1, that he's not on my level. And no matter how hard he presses and tries, I'll continue to thwart him and to show him why I'm at a different level.

And I'll guarantee you at the post-fight interview, he'll be the first to tell you, "Floyd Mayweather is the best fighter I've ever faced and I see why he's the best. Tonight was his night, and there's no shame to losing to the best fighter in the world." That's what you will hear him say in the post-fight press conference.
