    UFC upcoming events.

    El Matador V Clay Guida
Main event should be half decent, Nicey will be happy to see this fight and El Matador walking away with a win.
The rest of the fight card should be competitive without be top class.

    Hughes V St Pierre
Can't wait for this fight, Hughes will be eager to beat St Pierre for the second time, likewise for GSP. Hughes will see this as his final push for the world title too. If he gets beaten, I think he may retire.
The undercard is looking impressive already. The Ice man V The Axe Murderer, Can't wait to see Wanderlie Silva in action in the UFC finally. Funnily enough, I think Chuck could take him.
Not seen much of Machid, but he has a 10-0-0 rcord and fights with a Karate stlye, he should be exciting.

    BJ Penn V Joe Stephenson
Should be a cracking all action fight, both men with a good allround game, I slightly favour Penn, But Stevenson is not to be under estimated. A very able opponent. Also nice to see Gonnzaga back in action, wonder where Crocop is these days

all in all, some good fights coming up, nice event right before Newyears too
I will miss the first event, as Hatton is fighting that night, and I will be in Vegas, I think Huerta should win anyway.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I was not aware that Hughes was fight GSP, he has to get past Serra first and truly hope Serra beats him, not my kind of fighter or person.

El Matador versus Guida is a complete mismatch .. the hairy muck monster does not stand a chance in hell H will put on a MMA Clinic and Guida will run around like he has done 3 bags of special K

BJ Penn versus Stevenson will be a **** **** **** fight ... Stevenson is Hughes Jnr .... He'll shoot in take BJ to the Ground were BJ will reverse and submit him

Still a fight is a fight ... I am personally looking forward to the final of The Ultimate fighter .. looking like Danzig V The Auzzie bloke ... who will be a big star in the coming years imho

I know, I was thinking the same thing about Hughes and allegedly supposed to be fighting Serra. Not sure what happened there.
I don't necessarily agree that Penn V Stevenson will be a **** fight, as we know, Penn is well able to fight on the ground, and will always be trying something, I can see a war of attrition here. Personally, I like that kind of tension in a fight aswell as liking a standup fight.
Liddel V Silva will be over in round one, should be a knock out to either fighter.

Joe Stevenson is a jock, Big Daddy my arse .. Olympic Wrestler who hugs people to death. The cheek of him taking on BJ, I hope BJ Knocks him out with a head kick, perhaps then he might actually train in stand up a bit

Wouldn't be surprised if that was deliberately brought on, Hughes would have murdered him.

I'm glad Serra is injured. I've been waiting for GSP to get another chance to knock Hughes out after Hughes's behaviour when seeing GSP beaten.

              GSP!
              GSP!

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

                Yes, me too.

No disrespect to Serra but I was a bit gutted that Hughes should get such an easy run back to title after the hiding he took from GSP.

GSP will beat Hughes again without being as dominant and then make no mistake against Serra to take the undisputed title.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

                  GSP!
As Alpha said, I don't think he was disrespecting GSP, more so delighted he could possibly be fighting Serra for the title instead.
GSP needs to keep the fight at a distance from Hughes. If it goes to the ground, he will loose.

The only way it will go to the ground is when Hughes has been knocked on his ass.

Hughes was IMO disrespecting GSP. He wasn't applauding the fight, just loved the fact that GSP was beaten.

                    IMO though as I said.

Hes a ****ing Dick ... he had his fighters comparing him to a ****ing Biblical Character during the training sessions and he was deadly serious. MMA has move on, he obviously has not.

A bit like R Gracie submitting everybody before fighters kopped on, Hughes ground and pound has been found out by a number of take down defense strategies ...

A great fighter no doubt but questionable character at best

GSP was always a well conditioned fighter but did you see him against Koscheck - he was a monster !!!

Would love to see Hughes get his ass handed to him again by GSP who I greatly admire - couldn't believe when he lost against Serra. He is a far superior fighter than Hughes and a much more exciting / explosive fighter to watch

Really looking forward to seeing Huerta again, don't know much about his opponent so not sure how much of a mismatch it is to be honest

Big fight for both Liddell & Silva if you ask me, a lot at stake for the loser as recently they have both been on poor runs

Liddel v Silva should be a cracker.

Should be, but I cant see it lasting very long. Both are predominantly stand up fighters.
