There is no way I am going to stay awake for this one, does anyone know what time they will be climbing into the ring so I can set my alarm?

Hence Hopkins continuous attempt to dodge fighting this particular whiteboy.

That's the one thing that's worryng me. I have no doubt that Ricky can win the fight, I'm not saying he will do it but I think he is capable of it, but the press seem to build people up in this country and when they do that the fall from grace is normally less than pretty.

I must admit that I'm surprised by the main stream media attention the fight has recieved. I've watched boxing for years and I honestly can't remember there being so much hype about a fight that a brit has fought in.

It's not a bad thing but as is the way with the press in this country they build someone up and then knock them down. I fear that if Ricky loses they'll do the same. I hope not though because he deserves much better.

I think Floyd will win a unanimous decision. He is a tough, determined fighter as well, but I think his reach advantage and his speed with the jab will prevent Hatton from getting inside and giving him the business. If Floyd can keep him back a bit and maintain his discipline, I think he will win; All respect to Hatton, who I admire a great deal as a fighter, but I think after dominating the first few rounds with his aggression, Floyd will figure him out and out box him.

Like I said in the other thread, though, the most important thing is a good, entertaining fight so we all get our money's worth.

PS- When the World Cup was in Japan/Korea, we were up EVERY DAY at 2:00 am in New York until the next morning watching matches; 4:00 am is not so bad for the fight of the year!

an ugly side to the otherwise beautiful spectacle of two men punching each other in the face, I suppose..

what time is it actually on and is it on the radio?
It's on Radio Five Live at about 3.00am.

It's very rare I'd support a Manc but I hope Ricky takes him in under 5 rounds.
    Come on!!

Mayweather is the kind of fighter that just loves people on his back the more the crowd shout for Hatton the more he'll get at him and will drive him on.

Mayweather i think will win it

    Thanks for the link!

That was great! Don't think Mayweather expected such a hostile atmosphere, and was rightly rattled, initally anyway.

    Come on Hatton!
