    Andy Lee

Fighting on RTE now if anyone is interested.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    And he wins
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Yes, good win it was too.
Although, at the moment, I refuse to listen to the hype about him. He is a great prospect, has a lot in his game, but still has some way to go. asking him to be world champion by the end of 2008 is a big ask. But one I hope he achieves.

'Andy Lee will beat Kelly Pavlik to become middle-weight champion of the world,' said coach Emanuel Stewart.

'[John] Duddy may not want to fight Pavlik just yet but Andy Lee will fight any middleweight in the world today.'

I thought I seen it had been arranged for Duddy to fight Pavlik. I guess not though.

I noticed that too, his last fight was a month ago, wouldnt be normal for a top of the food chain fighter.

I guess you have to look at the opponents he's got they cant be too great cause he wouldnt be able to fight for instance a fighter like Mayweather's talent and a bit below that 8 times a year.

exactly, while getting all te experience he can.
although it is time to step it up, or he will be in foe a shock against the big dogs so to speak.

I think you'll start to see him stepping it up now. The McKay fight was more symbolic than anything else; he just wanted an Irish title. I can't see him campaigning for a world title at super middle.

Have you seen his KO of Carl Daniels? Obviously Daniels isn't the same fighter that fought Vasquez and Boudouani, or even Hopkins a few years ago, but it was a smart right hook all the same. And Daniels was proper sparked.

Nope, didn't see it until now.

Still though, He does seem to have all the punches and cought Daniels very much unaware with that shot, but, if I was to be critical of him, I think he needs a little bit more power, he definately has the skills though.

Wow - great KO that. Does he look a little upright to you Baz?

You meant stand up tall Les?.
To be honoest, I don't mind that, would just like to see him beef up a tiny bit and carry a little more power. Although it does look ironic me saying that looking at the knockout, and yes, I have seen a limited amount of him in the ring.
Himself and duddy should be a good contest and should sort out who is the up and coming super middleweight.

He does stand upright but he carries his gloves high by the look of things so he shouldn't have to many problems being caught.

Isn't he trained by Manny Steward? I hear that Steward could possibly be training Hatton for his next fight.

Yeah, its yer man Jaco is always going on about, them both being from Limerick and that.
Fights out of the Kronk gym in the states. Thats the first I have heard of Hatton possibly being trained by steward, but to be honest, he could probably do with it. Hatton over rates himself as a technical fighter.
