    Khan's next fight

Against some Dane called Martin Kristjansen, ranked 2 by the WBO although looking at his record he stands out as someone who isnt a big puncher.

    Fwanky doubting Amir's chin?

Before I'd even finished reading your post the first thing that came into my mind was 'I bet this dane hasn't got a good KO record' and guess what?

30 years old, 19 wins, 1 loss, 3 draws, 5 knockouts 2 of which were in his first 2 fights. Only fought outside Denmark once where he lost. Maybe he's got something about him to be ranked 2 by WBO but his record is pretty ****.

Yet another 'handpicked' opponent. Why didn't they set up a fight with Thaxton? Hmmmm I wonder!!! I can't wait to see Khan get absolutely hammered by someone like Diaz, Katsidis or Casamayor.

He'll have to fight them at some stage and no way will he be ready when it comes round because he's nothing but a hyped up over protected fighter.

The look on that ****** Frank Warrens face will be priceless.

I never thought you had these views on Khan. why do you dislike him so much? I happen to think he's a very talented boxer and alot better than you give him credit for.

It's not him personally. It's Frank Warren. Give the lad a test against a proper fighter to see how he does. Stop short changing the fans. Khan's good but he ain't that good yet.

All these one and two round blow outs against rubbish fighters do him no good at all. Give the lad a proper test and bring him along. If he passes these tests then he'll be ready for a world title shot.

Yet again though Frank Warren is trying to take the easy route and I find it truely disgusting.

Would of liked to of seen a Thaxton - Khan fight, dont particularly think much of Thaxton but he can bang so it could of got interesting. Then again thats exactly why he's been avoided.

Khan has been giving it the biggen for weeks about how Thaxton is "hiding", he's nothing bla bla bla then he or Fwank go and do this.

What is going to be very interesting is Khan's contract with Warren ends mid 2008. We'll see if he's got balls then.

Kurt mate, you are a knowledgeable chap when i comes to boxing but your dislike of Warren is clouding your judgement here mate, all great boxers have had handpicked opponents at the early stages of their career, whats the point of setting up a potentially great young boxer with too tough a fight so early? A loss may completely change his attitude, style and ruin him. We all agree that there comes a point when he needs to fight the best but for Khan that is not quite yet. Hell id give him another 12-18 months before fighting the best guys in the division. I think Khan is very close to becoming world class but I do doubt his chin.

Some of you massively under-rating Khan I see. Frank Warren is a prick, no doubt about that. He has hand picked opponents for him so far. No arguement, but so what? That happens to every fighter. He was forced into turning pro a few years earlier than he maybe should have done, while he is still physically developing. He is still starting off his professional career and he looks damn impressive to me. He looks physically stronger every fight, is developing excellent punching power (which I always felt he lacked as an amateur). The tougher opponents will come over the next year or so (once he has finished his physical development) and we will see how he copes. I think he will destroy most of them too.

Lets have less of this British attitude of build them up them knock them down please. Lets get behind Amir, he is our most talented boxer we have had for a long time, far more gifted that Ricky Hatton, potential to have a career matching Calzaghe.

They're handpicking opponents and then telling anyone who'll listen that he's going to be our youngest world champion ever...doesn't make sense. If he's going to be our youngest champ ever he needs to do it with in about 8 months. Hanpicking opponents will do him no good if they continue with these plans because the step up in class, from who he's fighting now and to who he'll be fighting then, is huge.

I read that Frank Warren is trying to get his next fight made as a final eliminator for the WBO belt. Michael Katsidis looks like being made the champ as Juan Diaz has been pulled out of a potential fight with Katsidis by Don King. Katsidis is the interim champ while Diaz is the full champ and the WBO ordered the match to take place to sort out the mess but Diaz has a cluas in his contract saying that he can't fight on another promoters fight card and Goldenboy Promotions won the purse bids for the fight. The WBO are expected to announce soon that Katsidis is the champ and strip Diaz of the title.

If Khan is made mandatory for Katsidis I honestly can't see him winning. Katsidis is a strong fighter and absolutely brutal in the ring. He's like nothing Khan's ever faced and wont have faced if they fight soon due to the quality of opponents he's had. Katsidis would be Amir's worst nightmare and he would definitely test his chin.

That's my problem with the whole situation. They're getting way ahead of theirselves and conning fight fans.

They are hardly conning fight fans are they? Sorry mate but I just dont get your logic there. I think that warren ****ed up by saying that he will be the youngest world champ and now he is trying to make that happen, what he should be doing is saying **** it, he will take his time and get it right. One thing I do agree with you is that Katsidis would beat Khan at present.

perhaps that was a slight over reaction from me. I just can't stomach all the bull**** that Frank Warren is feeding people. That would have been the best way to put it.
