Clarke heard it, told Ponting and Hayden confirmed he heard it too. Ponting then did what he is instructed to do by the ICC. From what i can gather he followed those instructions to the letter.
What is he supposed to do, brush it under the carpet. In the old days it would of been sorted in the sheds but there is clear instructions set down by the ICC on what to do, which is what he did.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Hold on there a second, it has been 10 years since the Aussies last toured Pakistan!!Originally posted by MARTINOZ View PostSpot on that article. Sick of this whining that the Indians are at because they are getting beat. If they want to go home, let them. They are the ones that are doing the bullying as far as I can see.
And another point. Lots of people (not just on here) are going on about the Aussies and the way they are playing the game. No-one seems to remember the atmosphere the English team built up when they won the Ashes on home turf, or the atmosphere that teams are greeted with by the Indian and Pakistani teams when teams play there. It seems to be that because Australia are the best team at the moment that it's ok to throw **** at them and see if it sticks.
Cricket fans in Pakistan and india are fanatical about the game and the frenzy they build-up in the stands is as much directed to their own team as it is to the opposition.
Don't keep looking for excuses for a great cricketing team in Australia, but this is a team that clearly has lost its self discipline and sense of sportsmanship. That can only be blamed on the culture that has been allowed to develop under that **** Ponting."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Sorry that's crap. I am not saying they are all angels but this is blown way out of proportion now and I am sick of reading wank statements like that.Originally posted by looprevil View PostHold on there a second, it has been 10 years since the Aussies last toured Pakistan!!

Can't you see the likenessOriginally posted by MARTINOZ View PostWhat he did wrong according to some of our enlightened brethren, is report an alleged racist remark by Singh. I know what you're thinking - "Who would do such a thing as to report racism. Bloody idiot!" - but he did, and now the neo-nazis are up in arms over it.
He's called Bush Jr because disco said he doesn't have many pubes.
'Neo-Nazis'
It's called a debate numbnuts.
I just love the irony that the biggest sledger in world cricket in the team of the biggest sledgers in world cricket couldn't handle it and had to complain.
**** the referee, this should have been sorted out like men in the changing room.
Are you seriously saying that that one alleged comment, that (if it actually happened) an commonly used Indian phrase of endearment/mild* abuse is more offensive that the combined insults that Symonds dishes out alone.
Cos that would laughable.
* someone earlier said that Singh knew what he was saying and doing and meant the insult, in which case I take back that paragraph! - although none of us have the luxury of a recording.Quote of the year :

I know its the Aussie's didn't say it was anyone else did I. It's still way out of proportion. Where do you get "**** Ponting" from. What has he actually done to piss everyone off?Originally posted by looprevil View PostBlown way out of proportion by no one else but the Aussies. :whatever:

Oh, is that why Ponting is being derided by all and sundry. Well apparantly that's what they did in India the last time Harbi used this term. seems he didnt stick to the rules.Originally posted by disco View PostCan't you see the likeness

The fact is Proctor ****ed up, not Ponting. Ponting HAS to take action if he feels one of his team mates is being racially abused. If he didn't I would argue that perhaps he isn't suitable for the captaincy.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Read my post again genius. I didn't say anything about the fans and I also didn't say anything about it just being related to the Aussies playing on the sub-continent. Seriously, you lot are so ready to jump on the bandwagon that you're not even paying attention.Originally posted by looprevil View PostHold on there a second, it has been 10 years since the Aussies last toured Pakistan!!

Again, you seem to think that a racial slur is an appropriate form of sledging. Are you serious?Originally posted by disco View PostI just love the irony that the biggest sledger in world cricket in the team of the biggest sledgers in world cricket couldn't handle it and had to complain.

Awwww, should we feel sorry for the poor Aussie team getting a hard time by opposing teams? Do you feel sorry for Gary Neville when he gets ****ted by a Liverpool player?
They get what they deserve - no excusing any racism but that is NOT proven is it?"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

It just seems that everyone is focused on the "unsportsmanlike behaviour" of Australia, instead of the fact that there is a possibility that someone was racially abused. They also seem to think that no other team would act the way the Aussies do on the field and to me that's hypocritical."Every time i sit around i find i'm shot."

No mate, no-one should feel sorry for the Aussies, but the point is you lot seem to think the Aussies are the only ones who behave like that, when it's clearly not the case. I just think as well that everyone who is on the Indian side in the debate very quickly brushes over the possibility of Singh again using racist remarks. I love sledging - is it not true that some of the greatest sledges ever have come from the mouths of English and West Indian players? Where is the furore over that? It just smacks of tall-poppy syndrome."Every time i sit around i find i'm shot."
