Carried his bat for the whole innings and top scored with a ton (a first for an Indian batsman). Who says he cant do it in the 2nd innings. Sharma's straight driving was superb and Bhaji getting Dumb and Dumber out was perfection.

Chawla come in and bowled well, he will be the next superstar spinner imo. Needs to work on hs batting before he will get a starting place regulary though.

Future looks good. The transition from the old guard of Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly and co. looks like it's not going to be as troublesome as many would have predicted. The immediate youth and those on the tier below are beginning to step up - haven't seen this much confidence and aggression from India in all my years of watching the game (hats off to Ganguly for that).

Need to finish it off in the next game, the Aussies usually play their best cricket when their backs are against the wall.
