Some of Brett Lee's celebrations have been ridiculous in the past. Anyone remember the phase he went through when he pretended to beat an imaginary person u on the floor?

Brett Lee seems ok to me and his singing is just

Sharma is young and if i was in his position i would be going mental for taking a wicket, no doubt he will tone it down as he takes more and more wickets.

It be like calliny Monty a cunt for going absoltely mental when he got Sachin out

He asked my mate in a pub one night here in Adelaide whether his girlfriend would "roast":whatever:

theres celebrating, and then there is giving you opponent the seeing off.

I love an emotional wicket. Like Hussey's catch last night....awesome.

But Sharma seems to have this habit of giving the batter the old back to the dressing room stare, and the odd finger wagging in his direction. Thats not on IMO. He should be celebrating with his team mates not doing that.

Come on Harvey, get off your high horse mate. Nothing wrong with a bit of a celebration. So what if he points his finger back to the dressing room!? He's young and still learning the game. Can be forgiven the odd mistake without being called a prick etc! (Personally I don't see anything wrong with his celebration but there you go)

I think the real problem on this tour has been that the Aussies have been challenged by India in Test Cricket and ODI's. They've haven't been able to steamroller us like they've done to us and other teams previously and now they're moaning about it

I'm glad India are matching agression with agression. If teams want to dish out sledging and stuff then be prepared to get it back. It's all passion to be honest

It would appear that the powerbase of cricket, both on and off the field, is shifting.

The power base in cricket has shifted. I heard recently that India generates 75% of cricket's total global income.

It's a stunning figure that I found to hard to believe at first but it explains why the Indian cricket board is so powerful.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Neil, it's similar to things such as football in Brazil. Cricket is absolutely massive over in India. All the kids play it and there is so much interest in it it's unbelievable. If you watch a game of cricket on an indian tv channel in India, the amount of advertising even when playing is unreal. They generate shed loads of money from it and have finally started to plough it back into the sport.

We have been improving over the past couple of years in Test Cricket and ODI's we are getting back to where we should be aswell.

Just like a Liverpool Premiership win would be good for the League and football over here, I believe a strong Indian cricket team is vital for Cricket

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has moved swiftly to dismiss suggestions India's Harbhajan Singh racially abused Australian fans.
It was claimed he made monkey gestures and spat at sections of the crowd as India beat Australia in Sydney.

Match referee Jeff Crowe spoke to security officials, viewed photographs and read newspaper reports before deciding there was no case to answer.

He said: "There is no need to take any action against Harbhajan Singh."

Before the ICC gave its verdict, India were insistent Harbhajan was innocent.

"He did nothing," said team manager Bimal Soni.

"These stories, I do not believe them and strongly condemn them. I think it is wrong.

The best way to reply to the Australians' sledging is to beat them in their own field by playing hard, fair and square as the Indian team did on Sunday

"Nothing has been done like that, they are making a mountain out of a molehill."

Before the ICC announcement, former Australia skipper Allan Border also came out in defence of Harbhajan, saying: "I am not too sure how serious it is.

"I was on that side of the ground yesterday and Harbhajan was copping a fair bit of stick from the crowd.

"I didn't notice any gestures at all and I thought he handled himself quite well to be quite honest."

The allegations are the latest to affect India's controversial tour of Australia.

Harbhajan was initially banned for three Tests for allegedly calling Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds a monkey during the second Test in January.

But at an appeal hearing it was decided there had not been enough evidence to convict him of racial abuse.

Ishant Sharma lost 15% of a match fee for this gesture

The ICC instead charged him with using abusive language. Harbhajan was fined and did not serve any ban.

Australia batsman Matthew Hayden was reprimanded on 27 February for describing Harbhajan as an "obnoxious weed".

In between times, India cricket chiefs have proposed a complete ban on 'sledging' - the verbal abuse of players.

During India's time in Australia there have been suggestions their players have been goaded into over-stepping the mark.

When young India bowler Ishant Sharma was fined on 25 February for an aggressive gesture directed at Symonds, Crowe said: "Sharma may have been provoked."

The ICC says its existing "code of conduct" - combined with the actions of on-field umpires - can help implement a "zero-tolerance" approach to sledging.

Harvey, not quite sure what that reliable journalist saw, but this makes him out to be a right idiot! Looks like he was the only one who saw anything...and those select Aussie fans.

Also look at the comments re. provocation towards Sharma.

                            Thank You

Would be better for cricket if all the countries had strong teams

how?....by getting smashed all over the park, thats how.

He finally got Symonds out and gave it to him......after we had put 300 on the board

Like Neil said, the Indians hold the power (moneywise), the ICC is too scared to do anything, incase all hell brakes loose, and they lose a ****load of money from Indian cricket.

There are pictures of Harbhajan making monkey gestures (scratching under each underarm) mate. Like it or not, he did it.
