Haye is quicker, stronger, far better technically and has a better resume despite having less fights than Enzo. My only worry for him is as usual the state he's in after making the weight.

Fair ****s to him for taking this because he doesn't need it, it's Enzo who needs it desperately.

Since his loss David Haye has fought opponents who represented danger and took on big challenges. As such he's came through alot of tough moments and now knows what it takes to come through when you're in the trenches. Compare that to Macarinelli who's fought no one and has never beaten a legitimate world champion in his life. Bobby Gunn an in-active Braithwate and his last joke of an opponent. The opponent that was named because the first opponent was so weak that he was deemed unacceptable to the BBBC shows just how protected he is. His list of opponents is laughable and his record is padded with average fighters.

There's no doubt Enzo can punch, I don't doubt his power one bit, but it's easy to throw when there's nothing of substance coming back, isn't it? If anyone can punch with power it's Haye and Enzo wont be able to go in throwing shots without worrying about what's coming back.

All this 'if Enzo catches him' is short sighted and isn't looking at the bigger picture. Enzo has never been in the trenches against a world class fighter and come through. David has and that, imho, will be a huge fator in the fight. He was in the trenches against the average Mark Hobson but the less said about that the better, eh?
      Spot on that
      We come not to play.

        I'd just like to add.

Frank Warren said today how this would be a great fight. I agree with that 100% but he then goes on to say how both fighters have got off the canvas to win. Again, that's true.

However if you look at the fights they both got off the canvas to win there really isn't much of a comparison.

Enzo was knocked down very heavily by Mark Hobson and struggled to beat the count. He only just beat it and was spaced out. When he got up he managed to get out of harms way for the rest of the round and the next before grinding his way to a points win.

Haye on the other hand was knocked down by the World recognised undisputed Cruiserweight Champion in Mormecks back yard. He then got up to impressivley knock out Mormeck and take the world titles from him.

There's no comparison between the two 'get off the canvas to win fights'

He's from London and the majority of his fights have been there. He's fought up here last year. He's also knocked out the then undisputed World Champion Jean Marc Mormeck in his own back yard.

              P.S.

This could be a good night out on the piss if anyone fancies it. I fancy going and I see that the MEN, where Frank Warren has a contract to put two fight cards on a year, is free on that night.

That after his defence was breached due to a slip and taking a count.

                  Exactly.

He wasn't even knocked out by Carl Thompson. Yes, he was stopped but that was a fatigue problem due to the fact that he never used to do any road work.

He was close to knocking Thompson out in the second round and punched himself out. Thompson stuck it out and managed to force Haye onto the back foot.

Haye was stopped. He wasn't knocked out.

I have more questions about the chin of Maccarinelli than David Haye.

Lets see where it ends up being but I'm definitely up for it. A few jars and seeing the fight live in the arena is far more appealing than listening to Steve Bunce talk absolute ****e on Setanta all night.

The Millenium Stadium is also still free on that night but I doubt Enzo and Haye could fill that like Joe did against Kessler. It would be good if they had it there though because you'd almost be guaranteed a ticket and Cardiff is superb for a night on the piss, as you know!

The one problem I see for Haye is the weight issue. Enzo walks around well inside the Cruiserweight limit where as Haye has to cut his weight. I read somewhere that he hadn't eaten a proper meal for 17 weeks before the Mormeck fight and even then he had to dry out before getting on the scales.

I'm still backing Haye to win though because he's operated at a higher level against better fighters.

That said it should still be a good fight but I don't think it'll be an early night. I could see it going a good few rounds before we see a stoppage.

I know enough about Haye to see that he is the better fighter, Im sure ive even said as much on here, for me its a 50/50 fight and will definitley result in a k.o or stoppage. I like Haye nearly as much as I like Enzo so I really dont mind who wins, Im just glad that the fight has been confirmed!

Can't see it being at the MEN myself but if it is then count me in.

As for the fight - I fancy Haye to KO Enzo. We've all seen Enzo going forward against no mark fighters - so let's see what happens if/when Haye makes him fight on the retreat.
