Where exactly did I say the ‘cricket was poor’?

The cricket is clearly going to be excellent because 95% of the world’s best players are playing in the tournament.

It has had very little impact over here. Not much coverage, pitiful viewing figures and every cricket fan I know is talking about County cricket, not the IPL.

Your point about County cricket is bizarre – why should anyone outside the UK give a **** about it? They don’t and nor should they. This is why no-one outside India gives a flying **** about the IPL. There is no bond for non-Indians and it elicits zero passion outside India.

Great for India, boring, pointless and **** for everybody else.

The matches I have watched have been very entertaining. Twenty20 is the future of cricket whether we like it or not. I bet that the County game is completely transformed within the next 2 years to try and rival the IPL.

Money talks, and all the big sponsors are over at the IPL.

Just one thing: it's also **** for India.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

The cricket is clearly going to be excellent because 95% of the world’s best players are playing in the tournament. So if the Cricket is excellent, why is the IPL pointless?? As you called it (you do realise how many countries are showing the games right? Just got a txt from my cousin in New Zeland who stayed up in the middle of the night with his housemates to watch the game and he is pissed off that Sachin isnt playing) Also why are the ECB on the verge of copying the IPL and creating EPL

It has had very little impact over here. Not much coverage, pitiful viewing figures and every cricket fan I know is talking about County cricket, not the IPL. We obviously live in 2 different areas and Manchester is a ****hole

Your point about County cricket is bizarre – why should anyone outside the UK give a **** about it? How is it bizarre?? You say the IPL is pointless as no one outside India cares about it, so with that theory surely county cricket is pointless They don’t and nor should they. This is why no-one outside India gives a flying **** about the IPL. FLMAO so thats why sports bars are showing the games, all major streaming sites are showing the games. Obv no interest they are just showing it for a laugh There is no bond for non-Indians and it elicits zero passion outside India.

                          a) There is a difference between '****' and 'poor'. The standard isn't poor, but to me the games are ****. I have absolutely no interest in it despite being a big cricket fan. I don't support any of them, I don't care for any of these dreamed-up teams.

                          b) It is pointless to anyone outside India.

                          c) Cheltenham is insignificant.

                          d) County cricket has a rich history and tradition. It has been in existence since 1890. People in this country have long standing affliations with their local team. The IPL teams have been made up in the last five minutes, with teams almost laughably thrown together at some bizarre 'auction'.

                          e) Ooooh the sports bars and dodgy streaming sites are showing it! WOW! I suggest you check the pitiful viewing IPL viewing figures in this country.

Me too. They can be difficult to find on motorway service stations and on the internet.

                              I looked for them first.
