Eddie McLaughlin, Duddy's manager, has called off the fight which was penciled in for later this summer at Madison Square Garden.
It has been claimed that after a poor performance on Saturday, Pavlik's representatives were unimpressed but the door is still open for a fight later in the year according to Pavlik's promoter Bob Arum.
A lot of us who watched the fight will agree that Pavlik would have beaten a defenceless Duddy within a matter of rounds. I sure hope Duddy pulled the plug on the fight because he still needs many many fights before he can make the step up to world title contention. He is 9th in the Middleweight rankings so he does have someway to go before he can fight the Ghost.
