It's a forum, why are you scared of discussion?Originally posted by Darth Marty View PostGive me a break, why should I have to "argue" my point.
It smacks of not having a clue what you're talking about, you say something, get questioned then refuse to answer anything on it. Just like the "Who has Duddy beat thats any good?" stuff the other day. You say he "deserves a shot at Pavlik" get pulled up on it then refuse to answer directly and shy away from the point.
Thought we could debate why you think Haye will flop at Heavy and why you disagree with me when I say he has a chance of beating anyone. Ah well, my mistake. Obviously this isn't a discussion forum.

listen fella, I dont feel the need to prove myself to you or anyone, sometimes I will post a short response, other times it will be in depth, there is not always a need to talk and Ill bet you talk just for the sake of it, you seem that type of idiot.
For the record I thought Duddy came out all guns blazing trying to look good and whilst it was a shocking performance for someone who was in line to fight the current champion I thought, and still think, that he has enough in his armoury to at least prove difficult to Pavlik. I thought he boxed far better in the last few rounds just as he had in previous performances against Eastman, dunnings, cuevas and campas. His jab looked threatening in more than one of these fights.
As for Haye whilst I think hes an exciting prospect he lacks that extra spark that would make him a great. Also hes not a huge man and the best heavyweights seem to be that extra bit bigger.
Now my only wish would be that you stop trying to prove yourself and speak only when you have something interesting to say.

Who's saying you have to prove yourself "fella"?Originally posted by Darth Marty View Postlisten fella, I dont feel the need to prove myself to you or anyone
I just dont see the point in writing "I disagree" and nothing else on what's supposed to be a discussion forum, you might aswell not have written anything at all.
Not to worry, I know you're one to avoid on the boxing threads now anyway.
P.S well done on the Haye comments, now if only you could of actually written that in the first place.

Ok, whilst I fear we may have gotten off to a shaky start I will give you the benefit and accept the blame. Here is a peace offering
and I do hope we can debate the merits of other pugilists in the near future.
Certainly saturday evening will be a great fight regardless of who claims victory.

The only reason i can see Haye struggling vs Macrenelli is due to the fact he has to usually try very hard to make the weight, when you're not eating enough or are trying to lose weight you will obviously not have the same energy levels.Originally posted by Darth Marty View Postlisten fella, I dont feel the need to prove myself to you or anyone, sometimes I will post a short response, other times it will be in depth, there is not always a need to talk and Ill bet you talk just for the sake of it, you seem that type of idiot.

At his 'proper' which is probably heavy weight i can't see him having such problems, if he keeps his speed and he naturally very powerful i can see Haye doing well in the heavy weight division. We come not to play.

He's kept himself at fighting weight or very close to since Mormeck by all accounts, while it's still not ideal because of his struggles to make it it should be a tiny bit better this time. Fair play to him for taking this, he doesn't need Enzo, Enzo needs him but he's having one more fight at crusier to prove a point. A hell of a lot of other boxers wouldnt bother.Originally posted by Imy View PostThe only reason i can see Haye struggling vs Macrenelli is due to the fact he has to usually try very hard to make the weight
I think he'll have some good wins at Heavy, he's quick like you say, skillful, can bang but there are obviously huge doubts over his chin so he could well get knocked out by anyone. Then again look at the best Heavy, Wlad himself even admits his chin is ****e.Last edited by Chris; 28-02-08, 09:10 PM.

Haye's not huge, but his usual walking around weight is over 14st. He was 16st when he went in against Bonin, and the difference in his power was immediately evident. It's tough to say how he'll do against tall and much heavier fighters, but he has heavy enough hands to worry Wladimir Klitschko. Haye is taller than Povetkin, and he didn't exactly set the world alight against Byrd, who's shorter and smaller than Haye and ten years older. He did make Chambers look pretty ordinary though (and comparisons between Chambers and Haye aren't too wide of the mark). I think Haye's future is certainly at heavyweight though, and I'd fancy him to grab a belt or two.

You can almost guarantee that every Welshman will predict Enzo to win and most English lads will back Haye.
