Pietersen fails again. 277/9 at the close.

Another below par England performance really considering we were 127/1 but at least we've got plenty of runs in the bank. Could be a bit of a slog if Anderson can't bowl tomorrow, Broad and Sidebottom will have to get through a lot of overs.

Fell asleep just after lunch and woke up with Strauss on his way back to the shed having also lost Cook.

Another collapse really and too many under-performers but as has been said, we've got plenty in the bank and we can only throw this away now.

Sets it up beautifully for the final Test.

He has been ace in la liga

Let's just hope Anderson will be too.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Jolly good to see England make a better fist of this Test match...particularly as I'm jetting out to see the third and final Test in Napier.

Good fun for ten minutes with Jimmy and Monty having a bit of swing. All out now for 293 with a lead of 437.

                      70-3

Broad with two wickets this over.

NW need 368 more runs to win.

I see Bell only got 29 to add to his 11, 0 and 41 in the other innings.

It shows how far sport has come that no-one makes an issue of the fact he bats for both sides.

Broad's first spell last night was absolutely fantastic. Delighted for him. Managed to stay up until tea. Our fielding was utterly shambolic - the more I saw KP's drop the more I couldn't believe it.

One of the best things about these tours is the commentary of Athers, Bumble and the rest. Often very amusing - they seem to have taken a leaf out of Johnners' book.

                              Classic clip.

                              I miss Johnners.
