Yeah was a pretty decent mania. There were a few roll eyes moments, but on the whole it was enjoyable fare.

They could still have had their moment and let Miz/Mayrse go over. If Nikki is leaving and Cena is taking time off soon, then why not give Miz the rub?


Miz would have gotten the rub from the win and Cena/Nikki would still have had their limelight with the proposal.


Mind you I have a similar gripe with the Hardys winning the tag belts. The match itself was good, but them coming back and getting the straps straight away was a bit meh.


Taker's final moment in the ring last night was well done. Was like an old gun slinger taking off his gunbelt and walking away.

When he couldnt sit up in his Undertaker way, I was sold on the match. Told a story rather than a technical spectacle.

Lol, are the Hardy's back then, I thought they'd just jumped from Impact to ROH? Kinda cool if the WWE lets Matt run with the broken gimmick.... delete delete delete and all that

If they try to make them be Hardy Boyz again it'll fall flat quicker than you can blink, which would be a shame.

Sounds like some of it is worth checking out anwyay...

*My own feeling is that once they go in against another tag team in a regular bout that they will look a bit dated*. On Sunday night there were four tag teams involved and some good workers amongst them, but a big part of what made the match entertaining was the novelty factor of the Hardys being in it.


Don't think they should have gotten the belts but it is what it is.


Matt certainly seemed to be trying to do the Broken Matt persona at times and there were some DELETE DELETE DELETE chants from the crowd, but I think they are back as the Hardy Boys rather than Broken Matt and Brother Nero.




** Have not seen last night's RAW as of yet so they might have proven me wrong already as they were taking on Gallows and Anderson.

Some Impact/Anthem (**** that owl) think they own the Broken gimmick. They don't want massive legal wrangling, they just want to earn royalties from anyone using it. Matt believes he owns it but no promotion wants to go through the hassle of having a day in court with Anthem.
I think we could see a mild Broken gimmick from Hardy as a nostalgic run will be very, very short term in regards to a pop.

I have a ton of things still to watch from Mania weekend. Everyone has been raving about Keith Lee and Donovan Dijak from this weekend in terms of breakout performances.

On my list: the Evolve shows, Rev Pro, Progress, Beyond v Progress, Caffeine, ROH. Anyone got any other tips?

The Evolve v Progress is supposed to be a good show, so is their one from Friday. Im trying to keep an eye out for the ROH show with the YB v Hardys ladder match.

NXT Orlando is worth a watch for the Triple Threat Tag and Nakamura match.

Managed to catch the NXT Show. I thought it was decent, I think last years NXT Takeover Dallas was better but this was better than previous Takeovers.

That's a bit of a quagmire for promotions regardless. Are WWE letting Cody Rhodes use his own name yet? Matt clearly came up with the whole thing but idk what I quite think of that...
