Any fans of the show Main Event (!) will be disappointed to learn that the show has been pulled from the Network worldwide because of the WWE's deal with Sky. Sky signed exclusivity to all of WWE's content.

    Vince with his foresight

WWE Network can be accessed now in the UK. Guess its a soft launch or something.

The deal with Sky was negotiated a few months ago. WWE were speaking to BT as well but BT weren't interested.

WWE will need to promote the hell out of the Network somehow. All WWE programming is on Sky TV and its obviously not in Sky's interests to promote the Network.

I wonder how this affects their relationship in the long term.

As Gingawaria has said, those with dodgy speeds by opt for SBO as the US version has shown, the Network is prone to crashing.

I suppose it's so people with crap internet connections can still see them?

Apparently £19.99 will be the standard price for PPV's moving forward.

Good luck getting someone to pay 20 quid for Battleground!

Definitely. The Network is rubbish in terms of original content. WWE has slashed its production budget by around 40% so you get a lot of re-runs on there. It's only worth getting if you want to watch the library - which isn't complete!

Side note - Sky Sports has cut the amount of WWE it's showing from this month. Afterburn, Bottom Line, NXT, Vintage have gone. WWE Experience will jump from SKy 1 to Sports depending on scheduling. Raw and Smackdown re-runs have been cut to an hour because the feeling was the re-runs weren't being viewed. Main Event has been added to Sky. All PPVs are on Box Office.

WWE Network is coming to the UK on 16th January for £9.99 a month. I think I'll stick with the £6.89 I've been paying for the U.S version for the last 6 months!
