Its pretty **** as in a heel wins the Rumble for the first time I can remember so I don't understand how the storyline will work. Cena will probably retain at Wrestlemania and Triple H will win the title. Oh good crap - I can't stand Triple H in a main event at Wrestlemania - the last time Triple H was not involved in a title match, if I'm not mistaken was Wrestlemania 17 when he fought The Undertaker. Its WM 25 this year, thats eight years ago.

True... but he makes a rubbish heel. Such a disappointing end to what was a pretty decent match.Originally posted by refugee View PostThey must be giving Matt a push, he can't really be a face when Jeff is a face as he is always in his shadow.
Indeed. Of course the only way they could have HHH lose was if Orton was left with his mates (which was lame anyway). Meh. Not too sure about that Rumble overall, far too many people in the ring for too long in the middle bit.Originally posted by Joe King View PostIts pretty **** as in a heel wins the Rumble for the first time I can remember so I don't understand how the storyline will work. So that'll be Cena V Orton and HHH v Edge at WM25?
Actually, I think they'll probably give the title to Orton.
RVD got a pretty big pop from the crowd. If only he could be as he was in (the proper) ecw, now that was worth watching.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Good point, but Jeff is even worse as a heel.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostTrue... but he makes a rubbish heel. Such a disappointing end to what was a pretty decent match.
Good to see RVD back, it made up for the absence of Christian.
I'm also glad to see MVP getting some crowd reaction finally, I think he is a fantastic prospect. Most young wrestlers nowadays can't wrestle, they come out of boot camp knowing a few head locks, a drop kick and a clothes line.Last edited by refugee; 26-01-09, 05:00 AM.

Feckin ell, Orton, wtf? they keep pushing this guy and he gets no reaction, the only reason i hate him is because he is so overpushed and many a good talent is left on the wayside.
So Orton will beat Cena (which the crowd will enjoy as Cena is hated even more) obviously thus leaving HHH to beat Edge for the Mania main event feel good factor.
What would be cool is if they could somehow turn Cena heel and possibly Orton face.We come not to play.

The Rumble, every year, holds a good barometer of a good Wrestlemania, in terms of strength in depth within the roster and the feuds to look forward to after all, this is the 'Road to Wrestlemania'. To tell you the truth, after watching Rumble yesterday, I am not looking forward to Wrestlemania, I can see it being one of most poorly booked in Wrestlemania history with the lack of firepower and real excitement. Orton vs Cena is a dead cert now, none of them have real mic skills and wrestling ability, so what am I looking forward to here? Triple H will win the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out to face Edge at Mania, again, you know Triple H will want to win the title on the 25th anniversary of Mania. HBK vs JBL has had a good build up will possibly be the hidden gem as is the case with any Shawn Michaels fight at Mania. The Hardyz will face each other, last time they did in December 2001, it was a pretty mundane and a low key affair. I hope if they want to pull this off, they get a title involved and make it a ladder match although with the annual and predictable Money in the Bank, the WWE might just think against that.
Thats pretty much it so far and nothing really standing out to take my breathe away. I thought the Rumble itself which usually one of the highlights in the year was poor by its standards. As Mr Michael alluded to earlier, far too many people in the ring in one go without someone picking up business and making a statement. Doesn't look good for the rest of the year, I'm afraid to say.

RAW was ok. Flair looks to fight Jericho at Mania. No Way Out this Sunday, two elimination chamber matches, Orton vs Shane, JBL vs HBK and some random ECW title match. All in all, it has the potential to be good. I expect some altercation between Taker and HBK during No Way Out to build up for their fight at Mania.

You know thats a ploy to stick two fingers to Christian and tell him he isn't worth anything. Personally, an interference at No Way Out would have been better but such is Vince and his revenge schemes, he didn't want to make a fuss about the returning Christian.
It was expected, the world of Vince McMahon works in mysterious yet predictable ways.
