Reading today that Jinder's push was meant for Rusev but with him being injured, they needed another 'foreign' heel and Jinder fit the bill.

Honestly - I'm fine with him getting the push. It's just....weird. The guy was jobbing on Raw 2 weeks ago!

No it can't but WWE is a listed company in the business of making money. I highly doubt that angle created any money for them.

My Mrs just text me asking about the ring break on Monday. It has more of an impact on people other than us Wrestling fans. Its gone a bit viral clearly.

I doubt all those viral views translate to Network subs. Which is what really counts.

Are they trying to appeal to the Indian market?

Apparently so. They have just opened a WWE Shop in India and there is going to be a push for the Bollywood Boys too. They have also appointed a VP in India too, which obviously means expansion in India for the Network, recruiting talent, promoting live events and negotiating TV deals.

Shame both acts are rubbish.

Jinder Mahal is Number 1 contender for the WWE Championship?!

I'm all for giving someone a push but this just seems really random! Almost like they just plucked a name from a hat!

Its a bit crap to go to the well so often. What made the Brock one significant was that he was the first and it hadn't been seen before. To do this after the throwaway time they did it with Mark Henry is silly. Bit like the time when they do the spear into the barricade spot. Its a bit UGH.

Big Show v Braun

Cant remember the others. I know there was something with Cena and the ring getting destroyed. Wasnt that Nexus? Undertaker choke-slammed him through the ring?

Think it was Show that put Taker through the ring and he put JBL through the ring in a hell in a cell match.

The Cena one I kinda remember. I know there was an accidental rope break in a Show/Cena bout, but think there was one in which all the ropes "snap" after Show gets an FU and possibly the ring did not collapse the way it was meant to.

Google tells me that he broke the ring against JBL too.


Now saying it was not a cool finish, but rings collapsing or breaking as someone is put through them is kinda a Big Show cliche.


Looks good but very obvious when you see Show about to be superplexed.


Having said that, it would feel weird to see it done without Show at this point. Might get the chance to see that when Braun and Lesnar fued.

Hasn't he been involved over the years in ring collapsing/breaking matches with Taker, Cena, Mark Henry, Lesnar and now Braun?
