Some of that card is pretty impressive. I don't like this storyline between the Main Event Mafia. Too silly. I understand your point about the X Division but from a purest angle, TNA doesn't really tell a story in a match, it takes real good wrestlers to perform that, not saying WWE has that however TNA is far from NJPW or CMLL.

What certainly does need to improve on, as I have constantly reiterated is that TNA needs a platform and some solid booking. You could give me this card and possibly two months later down the line, it wouldn't be too similar however the wrestlers might have swapped in roles and there would have been a stipulation included.

Never liked the MEM story really from the beginning, Sting was always the odd one out there seeing as the rest are all big heels and have been most/all of their careers. And I can't stand Nash or Steiner in the ring, some of the most embarrassingly performed matches ever going back to wwf & wcw have had them 2 in.

Totally get what you're saying, all good points; imo tna has dropped the ball a bit especially in the last few months, its always been a bit random but they really haven't capitalised on the somewhat dull and very PG direction of wwe with some really bizarre booking - what can you expect really with anything that has Russo's prints on it? This is one of their most solid cards in a while though, hopefully they can do it justice and kick on a bit from there.

Jarrett takes every opportunity possible to say "I'm the founder of TNA" so can't see that happening anytime soon, but binning Russo would be a good start.

Just finished watching it. Some of the matches were a bit meh but it got better as it went along.

Sting v Angle was pretty good imo.

Booker T v AJ Styles was semi-decent but no better than that. Straight finish though.

Samoa Joe v Steiner - Joe went "crazy", got dq'd pretty fast but has now done "something" to "scar" Steiner outside the arena. Bit of a cop out but Steiner can't carry a match anyway these days. Or ever.

Tag title was a dq (then was restarted as no-dq's and ended as a countout instead) as predicted. Decent match before that though,

Abyss v Morgan tack match wasn't very good really.

And of course there was some boring/silly TNA-style stuff in between.

However....

Ultimate X was fricking awesome, seriously the best match I've seen in ages, mental spot after mental spot after utterly mental spot. Oh, Suicide is actually Chris Daniels right now 'cause Kaz is still injured, that confused me a bit. But really, seriously brilliant, a must see imo and absolutely made the ppv.

The sting v Kurt Angle saga is quite entertaining at the minute. So many former WWF superstars in TNA now and i mean the good ones such as Kevin Nash and it is good to see nick foley. Its a shame Steve Austin had to retire through injury.

Well Daniels was Curryman but that was well tired so they "sacked" that personna. Suicide was originally supposed to be Kaz (who is always good to watch) but he got injured so Daniels took over the role. When Kaz is ready to return its likely he'll become Suicide and Daniels will return with his Fallen Angel gimick. Probably. Maybe. Who can tell with TNA's writers.

I believe that was the plan but they'd put quite a lot of effort into pushing the Suicide character, when Kaz' injury (right after thay introduced the character) turned out to be a long term one they couldn't just drop it. And at least he gets to do more serious wrestling as Suicide than Curryman.

It was funny though hearing the crowd chant "fallen angel" at Suicide during the X-division match last night. You seen it yet dude?

MITB has the same spots every year. And its usually Sheldon Benjamin doing them. Christian will be in it, his experience will be vital in that match.
