On a side note, piven is one of the only famous chicagoans I've ever met who isn't a complete prick. We played an after party for the cubs once and lots of sportsmen and actors and people were there. Piven wanted to play drums on should I stay or should I go, and he did so (poorly) after which I gently ribbed him and he took it all in good fun. David gray was the only other guy in there that night that didn't treat us as pets or curios.

Wow, he comes across as an utter douche everytime I see him, but fair play fella that's pretty cool. The Cusack you mention, its not John is it? He's one of my favourite actors, if he turn out to be a dick I'll be gutted. Met a few Hollywood types through work, Jerry Bruckheimer was one of the nicest, as was Spike Lee. Been listening to a wrestling podcast tonight and a little bit of stuff with Jim Cornette too, according to the insider crew Vince is panicking about the state of the product. He feels that no new stars are coming through and is getting concerned. He's right though, the main event scene really needs a shake up (well Raw's does really) but its just the same old HHH/Cena/Orton triangle. Seems Jeff is off after Summerslam so Punk will need new opponents. According to this lot John Morrison is in line for a monster push on Smackdown.Comment

UFC 101 was a bit of a letdown, although coming off the back of 100, they had a lot to live up to and a real tough Philly crowd.

Yep that's the names of the tours, I knew DX was coming back, but figured they could draw it out a bit longer, (ie start this angle earlier) it'd get a bigger pop would it not? I like DX, nice little nostalgia trip for us older fans and always fun with their lil pranks.
Just been reading a few rumours, apparently Vince screamed out "Why can't we create and God damned new stars?" in a creative meeting recently. He's said to be really disheartened by the products direction at the moment.Comment

Thought Raw was much better this week. At last! The womens match aside, (which started well and descended into a shambles) it was pretty solid.
Summerslam on Sunday, I'll download it on Monday.

Overall it was a vaguely more watchable raw, though it still loses massive points for Hornswoggle v Chavo AGAIN!
Angle getting banged up is pretty funny, TNA so far have let him keep the title though. I hope Don West isn't gone forever, he's been much better as a heel and I prefer him to Tenay.
Hard Justice last weekend was so-so, the X-div put on a fantastic spotfest as usual, Elijah Burke's joined as "The Pope" and will work well with some of those lads. The rest of it was just ok, too many silly endings though. I wish they'd just put a heel or two over clean once in a while rather than manufacturing (or botching) endings. When Traci Brooks wins the knockout title MEM will have all the belts, hopefully that'll start the beginning of the end or something.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
