Damn right this is a chance for Legacy. Hopefully Swagger will get a good run in this match too. That SD team is damn week. Escobar, despite his potential should not be there, neither should DrewOriginally posted by Joe King View PostThey're not company people so it's not surprising. Despite being a tag team, this should be the opportunity to put Legacy etc over but instead, some 40 year olds are still getting one over.

Escobar? lolz, I've seen him in FCW, never impressed me.
Not long now till BFG
Watched AJ v Angle again from Impact, seriously good that was, pretty old skool, Angle the technical guy trying to keep in on the floor, Aj with his out of nowhere offense, a match with a proper story and really a fitting end. 2 of the very best in the business, its a shame in a way its not those 2 again tonight with an hour time limit, I think they could rival or even pass Taker - Michaels for moty if it was.
Vague rumours that Ken Anderson may turn up tonight but personally I doubt it.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

"Pope" MIA - replaced by the guns in the Ultimate X match. Which just rocked, ok it was a total spotfest but them were some ****ing great spots. Daniels took an enormous bump, hope he's ok.
Crowd are really hot too
KO tag not so good, TBP without Angelina really lack a good in ring worker. Sarita & Taylor are pretty awesome though, bit like a female Guns, but they need better opposition.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

EY wins the Legends title, match was a bit meh but that's a given for anything with nash in it these days. Hernandez came over quite strong, whole thing was a 2 on 1 until EY "screwed" Nash in the most predictable swerve ever. Pleased Nash has dropped.
Tag team "full metal mayhem" (ie TLC) was highly enjoyable though, Steiner put in the best shift I've seen from him in a decade or more, good pace to it, and the results were about right - 3D take the NJPW belts (not suprisingly, NJPW were a bit pissed about others having them) and The British Invasion took the tag titles (mark out, I really like Doug & Brutus hopefully they can now feud 1 on 1 with BMI).
Looks like the Main Event Mafia are getting a bit crushed here, hopefully that storyline's being wound up now. World Elite now have 2 belts.
Kong v Tara v ODB was a bit strange, something happened with Tara and a fan, she went backstage for a bit then came back out. Not sure if it was a work, in fact I think it wasn't. Match suffered for her absence, though ODB lifting Kong was pretty cool. Kong & Raisha defo breaking up, wonder if they'll reveal her as Alissa Flash... anything that gets more Flash on the screen is a major win.Last edited by MrMichael; 19-10-09, 02:43 AM.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

Ah, ok, it was Kim Couture apparently (MMA Randy Couture's ex-wife).... work then.
Lashley got booed v Joe
That one was ok but I've seen better, and the ending was a bit lame. Not that bothered by Lashley all round.
Monster's Ball now...

LOL, that was ACE!!!!
Not for purists admittedly, and there was quite a funny ref/count botch, but still, barbed wire spots all over including Daffney taking another SICK bump. That girl is not only zombie-hot, but seriously hardcore

Nope, couple of let downs, although the matches I expected to shine, Ultimate X and the Tag title TLC, were pretty damn good.Originally posted by johnly View PostNot been amazing so far has BFG. That submission match was proper bull****. Kudos to Steiner though, great effort
I just don't get Lashley, Joe can usually get better out of people than that.
Haha, true, but come on, it was still fun thoughOriginally posted by johnly View PostMonsters ball = botchmania
Morgan v Angle now, hopes for this (although apparently Morgan's a bit injured).I could not dig, I dared not rob:

Wow, Angle won. Started slowly but picked up towards the end, pretty decent overall though Angle did carry Morgan a bit. Funny tombstone attempt in there.
Right, Aj v Sting, could be Sting's retirement match this.
Hmmmm, or maybe not. Another decent match, slightly anti-climactic ending though with the pin coming just from a slingshot splash
AJ Styles is the best thing in wrestling right now though.
Overall I'd give that ppv about 7/10, decent to good but not amazing unfortunately, with the exception of the ultimate X, and Daffney's bump obv. Lashley-Joe was too short and the ending was lame, in fact the last few fights all needed a bit more time and better booked finishes I thought. Knockouts didn't do themselves proper justice either, no idea wtf that thing with Tara was supposed to be. Few too many mishaps/botches overall too. Still, it was much better than that abomination of a ppv HIAC.Last edited by MrMichael; 19-10-09, 04:50 AM.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

It was just ok wasn't it? Joe and Lashley was awful. But that is all Lashley's fault, the guy is terrible and should be nowhere near a ring.
That monsters ball match was mental, like proper mental.
They need to stop copying WWE match finishes though, the tap out screw job and run in during the knockouts match just makes them look so low rent. (incidentally the 'run in' was performed by female MMA fighter Kim Couture)
Angle did ok with Morgan, (who's promo and in ring skills still aren't great) and AJ winning was perfect. Decent match too. Whole PPV was a bit meh to me.
Looking forward to Snoop on Raw, the guy is always hilarious in whatever he does so should be a laugh. fo shizzle dizzle it's the D O double gizzle! Although bar him, Raw will probably suck ass

Aye.
I think being out out the Impact Zone is a factor, there were quite a few missed camera shots last night (they need a new friggin director) and general mishaps. Took them too long to take the ultimate X structure down too, though I think getting Daniels out of the ring probably took its time. However, the crowd was seriously hot, not big but they were well into some of it, far better than the crowd @ the zone.
Ultimate X was a big highlight I thought, spotty but in a good way, as good as they've done in a long time... I was marking like a girl when they were ontop of the steel at the crowd chanting "please don't die". Having seen that drop again I can't believe Daniels survived. And Amazing Red with the belt is a great sign of the division coming back.
I enjoyed the tag mayhem fight too, spotty again but Steiner was just great and it was extremely well booked for such a crazy match. Sting-AJ and Angle-Morgan were fine, not great but good enough. And the Monsters Ball was, as you say, just mental. Stupid tazer aside, and very random big spot at the start, but it ended well. Daffney is a proper legend.
Booker might be gone, good ridance I say. I hope Nash follows him, his matches are just awful. Steiner might too, apparently his body's not doing so well, although he went up a long way in my estimation last night and isn't a problem staying around. I think TNA is slowly going in the right direction, despite the hiccups.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
