Oh, something on Impact last night (which was a rather strange show for all but 10mins of great wrestling from Daniels & Wolfe) made me think of a newish topic for the thread. Worst promos ever.

I'm going to have to look for some, but here's an extra-special one to get us started

Yes, we've all seen Beyond the Mat. Every smark has.

Excellent documentary actually. Louis Theroux's weird weekend at wcw is also worth watching.

Oh, apparently Strikeforce are about to sign Bobby Lashley - thank ****, he's got no charisma for pro wrestling. Not that a victory over Bob Sapp is much to write home about these days, I's like to see him fight someone genuinely dangerous.

Raw is just a disaster. Even Bret can't save it.

I dunno though, if TNA bring their A game they can put on quite a show, the last ppv showed that (did you get round to watching the main events from that?). If it were me I'd put AJ and Angle in the ring and let them go for 30mins+, and give Desmond Wolfe as much air-time as possible (best heel in the business). That would be a win on its own in my book.

Oh, and Sabin and Shelley winning the tag belts please. If tna wants to stand out to casual viewers, they should showcase as much of those two as possible.

Apparently Bischoff's doing a big set redesign etc, even talk of getting rid of the 6-sided ring. I guess the entrance themes will be part of that (although I quite like some of them myself). Might be some interesting debuts too, all the talk is of rvd, flair, even Goldberg (I know how much you love him), but I reckon there might be a genuine surprise or two.

I know you don't care for the knockouts much but it sounds like they're hiring Sara Del Rey; any combination of her, Hamada, Sarita, Kong or Alissa Flash can put on a match to rival anything wwe's men can.

I hope they do the full shabang, new set, get rid of the god awful six sided tiny ring and differentiate the entrance music, AJ, Joe, Angle, Sting, Steiner yes theirs are fairly individual others though sound exactly the same.

I also hope Hogan doesn't hog all the TV time, AJ, Daniels, Wolfe et al should still be the stars.

Beyond the mat was a great movie, the guy who made it wrote Police Academy! Lashley has signed for SF. He sucks as a wrestler anyway

If TNA go all out and don't balls it from the bat then its a good thing. Healthy competition in any sport/business pushes the other party to try and be better. Bret coming back will do something, but Raw needs a really big dose of adrenaline, its just awful now. I can see Bret going on all the shows and possibly interfering in the DX/Hart's match next week on SD.

Despite not haiving watched WWE for around 6 weeks I will watch RAW for Bret as he is my all time favourite wrestler, I doubt he will wrestle but I'll watch anyway.

BTW - Watched TNA the other day and noticed Black Machismo seems to be fighting legends at the minute, surely that can only lead to one legend?

Yeah, you'd think so... although Jim Neidhart and Tatanka are hardly in Hogan's league as legends

I'm really hoping this is a pre-cursor to Lethal dropping the whole Black Machismo gimmick, he's a talented lad imo who could go places with a different personna.


Yet to see it myself, but apparently although the undercard was so-so the Angle v Wolfe and AJ v Daniels matches at the PPV on Sunday were excellent.

When watching RAW last night, I thought some things may have changed like the addition of reasonable matches and decent promos to build matches. Unfortunately, Raw doesn't progress without the need to have a goofy comedy segment every 15 minutes. This week was Little People's court which was a total waste of time. I think I like wrestling but this is atrocious. If TNA had any marketing brains, they'd start five minutes before Raw and no one would bother with switching.

Bar the 6 man tag, Raw was awful... AGAIN! More teasing of Bret which is cool, he's clearly coming back real soon. Hope SD is better.

There's rumours of an NWO reunion on Impact. Bucks vs Guns will be amazing. Dixie Carter has apparently asked the fans if she should sign them

That little peoples court and the tiger woods skit were just a big waste of time and as for that 'main event' well that was ****!
