Ahhh. I don't think I'll be watching this tonight so I'll be interested to hear what its like, ie worth downloading.

I'm gutted about what's been going on in TNA. I kinda see what they're trying to do, and it might even work, but it feels like a different company now almost, and I liked what it was.

Kennedy... sorry, Anderson, is getting over as a heel pretty fast, he works a crowd very well. He and Pope could really become break-out stars for TNA if they get it right. Its the rest of what's going on there than concerns me a bit more....

I feel the same about TNA mate, I think they're regressing a bit. Hogan may not be the saviour they thought he was.

May watch a bit tonight, got a few mates coming to watch it tomorrow afternoon after I download it. I'll stick a note up after checking it out fella

Rumble was pretty good. Few surprises (1 entrant and a few of the results) ECW match was good. Rey/Taker was decent and the Rumble itself was very good. Well worth a download

Downloaded the rumble for a mate and watched it myself tonight. Better than last year's but still pretty unimaginative scriptwriting.

I'll put it to you like this. They've pre-taped Impact already, something like nine days before transmission, which in itself is weird. That Impact is three days before Genesis and surely no storyline can be built within one show enough for me (or the US audience) to care enough to buy the PPV. If TNA wanted maximum exposure, they should have put Joe, Styles, Daniels (by the way had 30 secs of air time), Angle, Wolf (disgustingly buried), Pope, Abyss, Rhino in a series of good, lengthy matches which help build the brand and illustrate how it differentiates to WWE and their huge focus on boring promos and goofy comedy.

Instead, TNA predictably went down the WCW route and had all the big chums delivering stupid, boring, long ass promos which mean nothing to me. The irony of Hogan saying he wants to push 'younger talent' but wasting nearly twenty minutes was unbelievable and also Jarrett as well. It was absolute bull****. Time wasted when they could have showcased Beer Money (the best tag team in the industry) rather than having them been beaten up by:

Tyson ****ing Tomko

The Nasty Boyz featured more than Beer Money. What a ****ing joke.

Edge cut a promo talking about winning the Rumble and not missing a 3rd Mania. Said he hasn't picked who to fight yet and is going to wait. Sheamus attacked him, they brawled

Elimination chamber matches dominated the show.

HHH beat Jack Swagger
Orton beat HBK - they then played on Shawns recent disappointments. Shawn has been exceptional recently, his work is stellar
Dibiase beat Mark Henry
Kofi beat Big show after Show accidently nailed the ref. Kofi poked him in the eye and his misjudged a punch. He complained after

Bret and Vince closed the show. This segment was excellent. Bret told Vince he wasn't even fit to lace his fathers jockstrap, Vince fought back and told Bret he decided that Stu Hart wasn't worthy of the Hall of Fame, this prompted Bret to kick the crap out of Vince and as he went for the sharpshooter, Batistaroids came out and attacked Bret. The show closed with Vince spitting at Hart as Batista held him and the crowd were screaming for SuperCena

It had its flaws but it was one of the best Raws in ages. Next week features a tag team triple threat for the titles. DX vs Straight Edge Society vs Miz and Big Show

Watched it myself a few weeks back, Bret was my favourite wrestler when i was a kid, i even remember skipping school to go watching the WWF at the GMEX in Manchester when i was about 10 or 11. Haven't watched it for years but when i read he had made a return i thought i'd check it out. Amazing considering he had a serious stroke quite a few years ago

I went to those shows as a kid. Went with my Dad he loved it. He was always impressed with HBK and Bret
