Raw was better than last week. Austin ruled, Miz was awesome and Cena sucked.

The Victory Road main event sounds like an utter shambles.

Shambles doesn't even come close. Jeff came out absolutely ****ed off his face, presumably nobody knew the condition he was in until he got out there so Bischoff had to come out and pretend to add a stip so he could tip Sting and the ref off to end it. Sting to his credit didn't **** about and forced the pin, you can see Jeff had no idea what was going on. Sting was legit pissed with him, he could have killed someone (or himself) turning up in that condition, I hope that's the end of him now.

            Never seen anything like it.

              Dave Meltzer:

Jeff Hardy will not be appearing at the TNA TV tapings tonight or tomorrow night stemming from whatever it was that happened at last night's PPV.

Hardy and Sting's main event lasted 1:28 with Sting pinning Hardy. Hardy, very subtly, acted as if he was surprised by the finish and attempted to kick out but Sting held him down and the ref counted three. Given the people involved in TNA creative, a worked shoot to get attention has to always be considered a possibility, particularly since the last time this situation legitimately occurred, the plan at first was to change the main event. In fact, both Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo have long track records of this type of thing.

Reports from the show were that Hardy was in no condition to wrestle and that they decided to cut the match short.

If that is the case, the onus should be on TNA because it is not like the show a few months back when Hardy was nearly stripped of the title and they had planned to change the main event, only to have the decision changed back, wasn't a warning sign. One has to seriously question management for not calling an audible on the main event, particularly since the show was already in the toilet by that point.

If it is an attempt at an elaborately worked angle, thinking the fan outrage leads to more attention to the promotion, it is what it is, a creative decision. In fact, either way, what happened at the end was a creative decision by management, because there are plenty of alternative things that could have been done what would have made it at least a slightly better show.
Hardy's next court date is Wednesday. Both his lawyer and Moore County prosecutors said a plea bargain deal had been reached months ago, but one side or both pulled out and the case was continued for about the dozenth time until Wednesday.

                Did Meltzer even watch it?

That was never a work. Hardy came down that ramp 10x more out of his head than he'd been an hour previous when he did a promo. Probably had a shot in the toilets before he want on and it was stronger than he expected, but he was ******ed and in no condition to wrestle whatsoever, a blind man can see it on the vid. They'd never have let him go out if they'd known, nor ended it like that with even 10 minutes to plan. Anyway, the ref blatantly clocked the state of him and signaled to the back, then Bischoff came out, took a look at him and called the audible to Sting, who was very pissed off and decided to end it his own way with no ****ing about at all. Right decision too.

I'd love to know what he suggests they could have done instead "creatively", "plenty" of things my arse.

TNA's fault for ever putting any faith in Jeff, but in the specific situation they were screwed by one man being a ****up, nothing more I can see they could've done.

What's he in court for? And what was he taking?

Drugs charges...ranging from possession of cannabis to intent to supply opiates. Apparently he was in danger of some serious jail time but the court case keeps being delayed, I think it's something like 12 times now where he's gone and it's been delayed. Latest rumour is that they've reached a plea bargain that wouldn't include any jail time but like I said, that's just rumours.

He's going to die young, sounds like he's heading down that early grave route that some of them have taken. If he ends up kicked out of wrestling, will it make him worse?

He did. I suppose he's suggesting you couldn't put it past Russo and Bischoff writing something like this which shows how stupid the pair have been in the past when shooting angles. I personally think he was ******ed. McMahon must be breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Raw continued its half good, half bad build up. The biggest thing to come out of it was the JR and Brian Christopher angle for the Michael Cole v King feud. Watch out for the COLE MINE! Rock delivered a promo to kid dressed as Cena, which came off slightly heelish - wrong dynamics going into WM as Cena has been the ****ter of the two. Miz delivered a strong promo and finish, but still comes across unconvincingly.

JR will be calling a couple of matches at Mania apparently, Lawler v Cole is a lock for one of them.

Disappointed at the lack of MITB this year though!

They said this last year and he ended up being backstage. A decision will be made about JR on the final week leading to Mania.

Silly not having MITB at Mania. They should get rid of the gimmick PPV, which was a success IMO, and make it special for Mania. It's always a good match, despite its many **** ups.
