Not been paying any attention at all to the 'E', have they been giving Skip Sheffield / Ryback the Goldberg push?

TNA tried that with Crimson, FAlL written all over it and he vanished after losing having had nowhere to really go with his character (or lack of)

I may be completely wrong, given I watched very little TNA, but Crimson didn't seem to have the talent and\or charisma to make that gimmick work

No, you're totally right. Besides anything else he was also far too ginger

Reminds me of Matt Morgan really, has the physical tools but just lacks that certain something and his matches never have a good flow either.

For what it's worth, I quite like Ryback although it's FAR too early to give him the title and I'm not sure how the character will work if he loses.

I don't mind the Goldberg push when its done right but WWE have a tendency to take really ordinary wrestlers (at best) who physically look the part and then throw them straight into the main event after they beat a few jobbers. I wish they would use the intercontinental belt a bit better and use it as a testing ground to see if these newbies can get over in the first place.

There were loads of matches I'd forgotten had ever happened, like Mankind against The New Age Outlaws in a handicap match for the titles.

This is now Team Ziggler (instead of Punk) with CM Punk defending the gold in a triple threat v Cena & Ryback..

With Punk always going on about how its nearly a full year that he has held the title will be interesting to see if he retains a day before the full year is complete.. He has to have the gold for Rocky at the Rumble..
