Perhaps when they broke them up, it would have been good but they have completely annihilated Ambrose and any momentum he had. He hasn't won a PPV match since The Shield beat Evolution in the blow off of that feud.
Anyone recently who has feuded with Wyatt has been killed. Wyatt doesn't garner any interest, the act is getting stale and cartoony.
Ambrose has definitely come out worse off since The Shield broke off. Personally speaking, The Shield triple threat would have been a good idea however I have huge reservations over Reigns in a main event because he comes across as average, his promos are rubbish and Ambrose hasn't had any kind of push. There is tremendous heat with Rollins at the moment but I definitely wouldn't give him the role as a transitional champion. He's better than that.
All comes down to short termism and bad planning from the Creative Team. The initial idea was Lesnar v Reigns; that made sense with Lesnar beating the streak but they've come to terms with Lesnar leaving (potentially) and the crowd (potentially) being off Reigns as he is the new Cena (shoved down your throats)IComment

Reigns to win it. Unless they have a huge change of heart for it to be Bryan. I wouldn't be surprised if the Philly crowd craps all over Reigns like they did with Batista last year.
Most eliminations, I'd go with Ambrose or Rusev. It would be interesting to see how they eliminate Rusev seen as he hasn't been legit defeated (only by DQ and Count Out). Personally, I'd get him to eliminate the most people and get a ton load of people to get him out. He comes across strong in both ways and also get over the Russian gimmick rubbing people the wrong way.
I don't see Cena winning the title. Either Lesnar retains or Rollins cashes in.
Couldn't care about the rest. FWIW, I think The Ascension suck and showed as much in NXT.IComment

Yeah, their burying of Ambrose has been really frustrating. I don't think Reigns winning is the forgone conclusion that it was a few months back though... I have a strange feeling we might see something a bit random, like Ziggler winning it, no real reason other than the mega rub he got at Survivor Series.Perhaps when they broke them up, it would have been good but they have completely annihilated Ambrose and any momentum he had. There are currently 12 unconfirmed entrants in the Rumble - could Sting be one of them? Any other ideas - Rob Van Dam is one supposedly, there will be a couple of NXT guys probably, Jericho, a couple of old timers maybe.
Really looking forward to it.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.Comment

The only straw you could grasp as to Reigns not winning it has been the somewhat tepid reaction to his matches and that they switched the ending a couple of years ago to make Sheamus win it ahead of Jericho.Yeah, their burying of Ambrose has been really frustrating. Don't see Ziggler winning it. They don't plan that far ahead with a lot of things. They did with Sting and HHH. Everything else regarding Mania is in the air.IComment

Randy Orton is a shoe-in. Though I would have thought it would have made sense to have him interfere in the Rollins match considering they put him out of action.
Sami Zayn is heavy touted. He'd get a huge pop. I'd get Neville or Devitt in there too. The Rumble crowd, especially this Philly one, is incredibly hardcore so they'll know and respond well to these guys.
I don't see Sting in it. He's certain for HHH.IComment

Reigns and Rusev last two.
This way the crowd will cheer when Reigns wins.
USA USA USA etc etc.
RVD, Jericho and Orton will be 3 of the 'surprise' entrants.
The Heavyweight championship to go at the end? The build has been very muted for the Rumble this year with the focus mostly on Lesnar/Cena/Rollins.HeComment
