Taker to stay of screens until Mania.

Nothing too exciting about Wrestlemania build up this year.

        Hopefully Brock extends his contract.

Dont know if anyone listens to it but I heartily recommend the Steve Austin Show podcast. He tends to interview a lot of wrestlers and people around the industry, its great craic. Just a couple of weeks ago he had a really interesting chat with HHH which went into HHH's role with WWE, storylines etc.

Yeah I agree Jay. One of the worst builds to Mania I can remember. Ratings are down at the moment during the peak which says a lot about the storytelling.

The tag match has been thrown together at the last minute.
The Intercontinental match has been thrown together at the last minute.
The HHH / Sting match has had only one person involved in the build up (not counting the incredibly fake looking Sting).
Bray / Taker has been even worse.

The Andre the Giant Memorial match is just filled with the leftover wrestlers that had nothing to do (apart from Miz and Mizdow who had a story, but they decided to not bother using it).

Cena v Russev has some story, but will be as much fun as bashing a nail into your forehead with a sledgehammer.

And finally Reigns has been pushed too far, too soon, at the expense of other people that deserve it more.

                  Agreed fully.

The worst person to come out of all of this is Daniel Bryan. From main eventing Wrestlemania, he is now in a match with R-Truth and Stardust. Those guys can't tie his laces. They've done a real job on making him seem like a nothing character. All because he's short, looks like a goat, doesn't look like a superstar etc etc. Forgetting the fact that he was/is over with the audience. At worst, he should be the second over babyface.

Reigns seems to be getting zero reaction which is worse than a negative reaction. No one seems to care about him.

That's a pretty good summary of the situation.

Eddie Gurrero went from a Title match at WM20 to opening match at 21. Jericho went from main eventing WM18 to a nothing match with Shawn Michaels at WM19.

Point being that there is enough to go around, even if he is good at what he does. WWE has never had the best wrestler as a constant champ have they? It's always the one that they choose and sell the merch with. The title doesn't really matter, entertaining people does. He's always on TV as a focus, and will entertain the pants off everyone at the event. Just not in a match that some want.
                      *Except Michael, who died.

Guerrero and Jericho had feuds with Mysterio and Michaels. This is a nothing match.

The fact is Bryan is far more over than Reigns and Bryan was the number 2 seller behind Cena. Don't think Reigns is shifting much.

Your statement about entertaining people is exactly what's wrong with the fan base eating ****. The title should matter. It matters in sport and in every competition. Also, Bryan entertains most people than Reigns does. Bryan v Lesnar is a far better match and something worth looking forward to than Reigns v Lesnar. The crowds going to **** all over this.

Jericho's podcast can be entertaining at times as well. Has loads of wrestlers on it as well as guys from bands, tv shows etc. Can be a bit hit and miss depending on the guest as Jericho is not great at teasing conversation out of folk who are not naturally talkative, the Sabu interview being an example of how a guy who likes to give one or two word answers can have Jericho resorting to really generic comments and laughs to fill airtime.

One of his more recent podcasts with Samoa Joe was a good listen though as Joe came across as the sort of guy who likes to engage in conversation.
