I really rate Scott. I was amazed when he fell away at the WGC and thought his 61 at Quatar was superb. I really think he's got a major in him and once he wins one he will press on and become a real star.

Ogilvy's a class act though. Up there with Rose and Donald for me when it comes to fine swinging. Some good golfers coming out of Oz at the minute.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Augusta National never allow the front 9 holes to be shown live, only the back 9. Been that way for years.

I thought Westwood finished quite well and so did Snedeker.

Anyone else also think that Rose will choke the longer this progresses like last year?

I just got back, my family was lucky to get badges via the lottery 12 years ago so it's a big family event, we all divvy up the days, this year i got to go to the practice round on wednesday for the par three tournament and the first round yesterday.

augusta national is one the most beautiful places i've ever been. perfectly laid out, perfectly kept, you really can't get the full picture on TV, it just doesn't do it justice. the event itself is so well run, if anyone ever gets the chance to go you should defo take the opportunity, it's a great experience all the way around i'm still buzzing from it

this years field is pretty strong, it's good to see some lesser names up at the top

                    I know what you're getting at but Scott isn't ****e. You don't get in the world's top 5 if you're ****e!!!

They're are opposites, though. Scott rips up your average tour event but hasn't got the mental fortitutde required to win a Major, whereas Ogilvy tends to perform better in the Majors than your average tournament.
i dont know how he is number 5 though. He's been hyped to all hell down here for ages (along with Jesus lover Baddeley...who's even worse), yet he rarely comes away with a win.

Scott is your typical aussie young golfer at the moment. He is all about power and how long you can drive the ball. Scotts short game is patchy, and until he fixes this he wont win a major.

****e is harsh, i'll agree, but he's not worthy of being ranked number 5.

Ogilvy is such a good golfer, beautiful swing he has

Scott is a fantastic player, prone to a few disastrous holes but that's the player he is, no holding back. Will always find it tough on courses like this though because of his style. He will win the British open soon though. In fact, I'll be having a bet on him in it this year.

You've got to go, it's amazing. We were very very lucky to get the badges. My dad's Bday is April 12th, today, so it's his present to himself every year to go to the Masters. He's the only one that goes to every round. Lately because of work he sells the Sunday badges and makes enough to cover the expenses of the whole trip. If you're interested next year I'm sure he would give you a good deal

                            How much are tickets?

                            Just generally asking.

It depends on the day you want to go, they get more expensive by the round.

He just told me he sold his Sunday tickets (2) for $1500 which is a really fair price. He's not in it for the money, he just can't go and wants fellow golf enthusiasts to be able to go, he won't sell to scalpers.

I heard on the radio the other day that the Masters is one of the hottest and toughest tickets to get in American sports which surprised me a bit. The ticket broker they were interviewing said that he's seen them range from $5,000-$13,000 for one day I think you could get a good deal if you buy early on Ebay. There are LOADS of scalpers out there, on the drive in I bet I saw about 150 of them, holding signs saying "I need tickets" "Buy, sell tickets" etc. I'd never seen that many before. Just from what I've seen and heard you can negotiate with them as they get desperate to unload the tickets

The practice round tickets are great value, face value they are $36.00 which is a bargain. This is the first year I've gone to a practice round and I really liked it. Very relaxed, you can joke around and talk to the golfers, there's no pressure, you can take your camera in, and the players take multiple shots and try different things they would never do if it was for real. You can watch them on the driving range and the practice green as well, that's where I saw Tiger and Phil this year, practicing their putting, it obviously didn't help Phil much- he misses so many short ones it's crazy

The par 3 tournament is fun to watch, I got to see Jack Nicklaus, Arnie Palmer, and Gary Player play in one pairing, it was really cool. Faldo played as well and he embarrassed himself on the hole I was sat, it was pretty funny. Alot of legends and guys that work in the media now participate so it's cool to see them out there. Most of the guys let their kids caddie for them, Ian Poulter's son was smacking a ball around on the green with his little putter and nearly hit one of the other players balls, pretty funny to see that. Of course some of the big players like Tiger and Phil didn't participate, but I don't really care about seeing them.

We always take chairs in and leave them at a hole as early as possible to get a good seat, no one will bother them, and we walk the course before settling in. Then you get to see everyone pass through and see how they approach the hole differently.

A long winded reply but I hope I answered your question

                                sounds like great value that

I'd love to watch the Masters and an Open at St Andrews. Bloody brilliant that would be
