I think you're slightly underestimating Woosnam but I'm not going to try and change your mind.
All those would have been joke picks IMO.

Thanks for not trying to change my mind - it would have been tiresome.

I'll look forward to the Woosnam appreciation thread (for doing the blindingly obvious)

      Something we can agree on.

He's a gent! And as cool as ****.

So yes, 1st two, middle two and last two should do it for us, and I'd be happy with 6 all on the final day.

        Job done, go home.
With the, and the... yes. Looking good Middle two holds the key.

For what it's worth I think that the picks were obvious as well but Woosnam could easily have bottled it in favour of Bjorn who was above Lee Westwood in the order of merit. At least he did the right thing.

You're right he is coo las ****. My favourite player by a mile. I'd back him against anyone in the world especially when he's on form.

That is the one thing I don't really like about it. Golf has opened up in the last fifteen years and become popular with people from all kinds of backgrounds, but there are still some elitist and even racist clubs out there.

It's a sea of blue at the moment. Would take a gargantuan collapse from Europe to let this one slip!

Hope it doesn't get past match 7 though!

It's been wonderful so far today; the atmosphere is ****ing phenomenal.

Monty has just shaved the hole with a monster wonder putt!

So the way things are going Darren will retain the Cup for Europe.

That would be great, even better if Patrick halves his game, giving Clark a chance to win it outright.

Happy Days. Emotional scenes at the end for sure..

There is some totally phenomenal putting going on at the moment. I've never seen so many monsters sunk one after another.

Clarke's last one was outrageous. I hope he wins it for us, as looks likely.

                        Helluva read that one.

He'll bring it home, and my bottom lip will probably be wavering like a girl

                          is it over now?

I hate Golf and have been sick of hearing about it.

                              That was magnificent.

I felt rather emotional at the end of Clarkey's win...some beautiful scenes. He's shown amazing character and he deserves his moment. Top bloke.

Clarkey got all choked up when he won his match. You'd need a heart of stone not to be at least slightly moved by that!
Great golfer and a great Ulsterman!
