    Anybody see it?

At last GSP gets his belt back.

Can't see him getting beaten again for a long time. Jon Fitch might test him though.

Middleweight division is ****ed. Franklin can't beat Silva but nobody else can beat Franklin. It's looking like Silva to remain Champion with Franklin number one contender for the foreseeable future. But they can't keep fighting eachother, can they?
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Yeah I watched it last night

Serra didn't do much, GSP just wrestled him to the floor and stayed on top. GSP dominated and didn't allow serra to get involved mix it up which was a shame cause i would have like to have seen them go toe to toe a bit more.

Loved the fight earlier on (can't for the life of me remmeber his name) but he chased his opponent round the ring, started taking the piss and doing the running man in front of him, then covered up one eye and started swinging 'blind' with his other arm - just completely taking the piss. He then topped it off bu giving a rocky 4 speach at the end -legend

That was Nate Quarry . His opponent should never be allowed in a ring again - disgraceful performance

GSP was awesome - I'm sure of another couple of those knees to Serra's body had connected he'd have broken a few ribs. Serra looked like he'd been run over by a bus in the end

Franklin was impressive but Lutter is a very boring fighter to watch & so badly conditioned

Bispin looks impressive after dropping down a weight but still don't like him - his opponent was muck too

Didn't think it was a great event all in all to be honest

Quarry was funny alright - very impressed with him BTW & have never been that enthusiastic about him, as was said by Kenny Florian who was commentating - very hard to fight against someone who doesn't want to fight

Bispin looked good but again his opponent just buried his head in his hands anytime Bispin came near him - offered nothing offensively. I did like him but I think he thinks he's better than he is actually is and I have found him completely disrespectful after his last couple of fights. Matt Hamill was miles better than him and lost out on a home town points decision and he was jumping around screaming like h had just won the title - even his own crowd booed him. Then after he was beaten (was it by Rashad Evans?) he was mouthing off in the interview that as far as he was concerned he didn't lose - too full of himself for my liking

yeah rashad evans beat him on points - my view on bisping - i watched him all through ultimate fighter and maybe with him being the only brit and a northern lad, i followed him. he was very committed and down to earth with a good sense of humour and likeable. Maybe he has believed his own hype - imo he is doing what he has to do to get noticed in America, in all sports in america it's just as much about image, being brash and arrogrant and people go further on their attitude as to say a quiet person with talent, if that makes sense? - So maybe he is trying to be like that to make a name for hismelf, maybe thats how the UFC have told him to market himself etc cause dana white wants bisping to be 'household name' as it will help with spearheading the UFC UK marketing campaign. So Bisping is acting like that, almost selling out if you like, to the yanks it's normal but to us brits he looks like a cunt and the fact he is british and doing it even more so.

So to sum, if he had stayed the quiet northern former milkman lad he was on Ultimate Fighter us brits would still think he had some professionalism and class but the yanks would think he was a a quiet no mark, wouldn't sell any tickets and ultimately wouldn't get a fight.

            Does tha make sense

I thought Bisping looked very good, the change in weight suits him.

GSP is a legend and IMO the best fighter out there.

UFC 84 in London looks to be a very poor affair now Liddell has dropped out.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Bisping looked good alright, although he remains a total cock.
GSP is not yet a legend in my book, but well on his way to becoming one, Anderson Silva would also have something to say about GSP being the best pound for pound fighter.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

We'll probably get to see who's better in the next 18 months or so, if rumours are to be believed...

GSP V Anderson silva? Surely that is a fight that will not happen, unless GSP is willing to give away the extra pounds to Silva, who himself is considering stepping up to light Heavyweight.

Seems GSP could be keen. was hoping in a funny way that the Jones V silva fight would happen.
GSP: “I Would Fight Anderson Silva”

If you’re like me, the thought of a potential showdown between Anderson Silva and Georges St. Pierre would usually conjure up the feeling of a dream fight that would be one of the biggest in the history of mixed martial arts but would ultimately not take place for one reason or another. However this one feels a little different.

We’ve already seen that Silva isn’t afraid to go after the big-time fight. After all, we’re only a week removed from UFC President Dana White reportedly preventing a much-anticipated and likely history-making boxing match between Silva and former pound-for-pound phenom Roy Jones Jr.

A different kind of fight that White has been keen to though is between Silva and St. Pierre. Provided St. Pierre avenges his last loss to Matt Serra next weekend, the two kings of their respective divisions are quickly running out of legit contenders to test their skills against.

But even more key to a fight actually being put together is both fighters wanting to do it. I think we can already assume that Silva will be game. Is St. Pierre? According to his comments from today’s UFC 83 pre-fight conference call, there’s no doubt.

                        From MMA Weekly:

“I’ve been thinking about it. It’s going to depend on the scenario. I have a lot of training partners at 185 and my weight class is 170. I would never get into the way of one of my training partners,” he stated. “I would never fight somebody I train with. But if one day, I have the opportunity, the way is clear, and I did everything I had to do in my division, of course I will (fight Silva).”

A fight between the two probably wouldn’t happen until next year. Silva has Okami next and then who knows. St. Pierre would have Fitch and Alves to a lesser extent. In order for the fight to have that “superfight” feel, both would have to win their next couple of fights. If both perform to their potential, it shouldn’t be much of a problem.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

Silva v Roy J Junior....in an MMA fight!!!!

White should let it happen, Jnr would be slaughtered.

Boxing match mate. It is part of a UFC's fighters contract that they do not fight in any other promotions.
Any boxer would get slaughtered against a top class well rounded MMA fighter, but in a boxing ring, Jones has to be a clear favourite.

Oh, in a boxing match it'd be no contest, Jones would pummel him.
