Clarke took over and gave the rest of the interview.

Westwood wasn’t crying cos of the win, he was crying for Clarke, like the rest of us, yet Clarke picked up the baton and finished the interview for him. While all around him lost it, Clarke remained (relatively) stoic. LEGEND.
You may not know this but I'm not a man who is easily given to tears. But for the duration of the tournament I was, emotionally, like a badly-parked car. Every time Clarke did anything even half-decent I was on the verge.

      Absolute respect to Clarke.
To do what he did was amazing, and he was also so humble in victory.
A special word must also go to his team mates and Woosnam who was brave enough to play him as a wild card, but the way the European team supported him shows just what team spirit can do.

Everyone felt his pain, and wanted to do their bit to help.

Huge respect to the Americans and particularly Woods who still hugged him, and has said how proud he is of Clarke.

We should also not forget the crowd's part in everything and I think DC appreciated it greatly.

I must say that prior to the Tournament Clarke was never one of my favourite golfers, but from now on I'll always cheer him on, and look out for his scores on the European tour and in the majors!
