    Federer losing his touch?

People have been saying he is losing his touch as he had a poor start to the season, but the guy is in the French Open final.

the fact is, he has not been on a bad run imo, still made a few semis etc.

do you think he has lost a bit of flare?
or do you think Nadal and Djokovic are improving and catching up?

He had glandular fever at the end of last year start of this year which anyone who's had it will tell you is ****ing evil and completely ****ed off his prep for the Aussie Open (And can lurk in the body for years) where even ****e like Tipsarevic managed to take him to 5. Maybe due to some of the ****e results he's had players maybe believe a bit more that they can beat him but he's still got it. When 100% he beat Djokovic in straight sets in the US Open Final and won the end of season Masters Cup.

It'll be interesting to see Wimbledon though because Nadal has been closer to taking that than Fed has the French Open. And with Djokovic getting fitter and stronger he'll be there aswell.

Hes not losing it at all, just as chris has said he has had injury and sickness issues and stil manages to retain the No.1 spot comfortably, its always been Nadal on clay and I cant see that changing today, Fed is quite simply awesome when he brings his a, b or c game, its only when he has issues people can take him the distance.

Good thing about not doing so well this year, and yet still retaining his number one ranking, is that when he comes to defend his ranking points next season, if he wins the events he normally does early season, he'll gain even more points that he would normally have done!

Clever strategy by Fed i reckon.

Still don't think he's gonna win today, but i'd be so ****ing chuffed if he did! Off to watch it now!

I hope he wins to but it would be a shock.

This is painful to watch so far. Never seen Fed getting beaten so easily.

Maybe he has just lost his desire to win.

My ploy worked......out of nowhere he's broken Nadal.

He's coming back. This match isn't finished.

It is, even if Federer somehow wins this set he wont win the match. He has no chance of beating Nadal on clay over five sets and I dont think he believes he does either.

Nadal is a phenomenon on clay. He's virtually unbeatable.

                            Nadal's just won.

                            6-1, 6-3, 6-0

I thought he'd win but not that easily

Federer is beat before he gets out on court against Nadal, it's all in his head...to win RG he has to hope that someone in the other half of the draw causes an upset.
