Federer has had a bad year. I expect him to up his game in Wimbledon otherwise I do expect Nadal to win it.

In my opinion, these two have the best sporting rivalry. People will say Man U v Liverpool but we seriously haven't troubled them in recent times.

He is that, credit where it's due, Federer in form or not is not a match for this lad on his preferred surface. I also believe Nadal has paid particular attention to his grass court game of late, & will challenge for the No1 status.

Some unranked journeyman will probably be the one to beat Nadal in France. Freak occurances like that often happen.

dont think he is losing his touch, as people ahve said injury and illness have affected him this season.
Ok today Rafa tore him apart, but he has torn everyone apart in the French. I think a better idea will be obtained from Wimbledon. If Federrer fails there then maybe there is a chink in the armour. s

But they don't trouble each other either.

In a major tournament, Federer will always win on grass and Nadal will always win on Clay. That's the reason they had that exhibition match on a court that was half clay and half grass.

Federer will clean up at Wimbledon and that will be that. I hope not mind, been a bit bored of one player cleaning up.

Yeah i wouldn't agree with that, Fed has just had a rubbish start to the year, Like someone else said he had glandular fever at the start of the year, then he caught something on the back of that, he's had trouble with getting a trainer so he's been his own coach for quite a while, the beating yesterday was incredible, but Fed just needs some time to get back up to speed, Roger Federer IS Tennis! Watch out for wimbledon!

Nadal is undisputed on clay and the fact this thread was started only highlights what an incredibly high level Federer plays at.

Problem is, Nadal and Federer, being 1 and 2, will invariably meet in the finals...on clay. Rafa is undisputedly the king of clay, and Federer is no slouch on the surface, so a lot of their meetings have come on clay. I think they've met 8 times on clay, with Rafa winning 7 of them?

However, in the other surfaces, there is a greater chance that Nadal will not make the final as he is beatable by others within the top 10, so Fed will rarely face him in a Grand Slam final, wimbledon being the exception. So the win-loss record between the two will always be in Rafa's favour, unless Fed can discover the secret to Clay.

Has Nadal won any othe Grand Slams apart from the French? I know he's lost in two Wimbledon finals, but what about the others?

The LTA really do need to have a look at France, Spain,Argie, Serbian, Russian and US and German set ups to try and figure out why we are not producing any quality player (Andy Murray is a bit so so not quite sure what to make of that surly ****er) there is enough money knocking about our game.

Better on clay than Nadal? No chance surely, will believe it when I see it.
