The proper form of the game is Test Cricket and i think you'll find that India are just 8 points off being the no.1 ranked test side in the world and Pakistan are a good 1,535 points and 4 places below us.

Oh and i think you will find that 20/20 will wipe out 50 over cricket within a few years with all the money and ecitement sorrounding the game.

Anyways rather be world champs then asia cup winners.

Also Indian teams are playing in the champions league of cricket with the other major cricketing countries with Pakistan trying to beg their way in and soon the IPL soon to take over the world

    Bitch slapped

Nonsense, Test cricket is boring rubbish and on the slide for a very good reason. 20/20 is just a bit of fun and just a sloggers game

50 overs is a proper game. Oh and the IPL will never be taken seriously. Its just a money making business and giving some of the oldies a last quick payout. FFS the england lads arent even playing in it

50 over games are proper indicators of talent

So shut it before i bitch slap you at Pro Evo again

That must be a wind-up up? Seriously..?

        Test Cricket is Cricket!

        The IPL not taken seriously?

The ECB shortened their tour of West Indies so that their was a window of a few weeks so the england players could hoin the IPL! Rajastan Royals and Deccan Chargers will represent India in the champions league of cricket. The IPL has been taken very seriosuly

I agree test cricket is important but it's long boring and usually ends in a draw.

50 overs cricket is a proper game.

And yeah the IPL is a joke. You do realise the International stars are only playing the IPL for a quick buck. The ECB shortened their tour because the players begged them to let them earn a quick buck in India

So by your theory the English Premier League is a joke because the foreigners are only here because its the richist league in the world and to make some money before they retire.

            Nice.

You can't seriously even try to compare the 2

Players don't go to the IPL for a proper career. More like a couple of months holiday and fat pay cheque for playing a game thats just a bit of fun slogfest

IPL is a great tournament and I think those players that went for the quick and easy paycheck quickly realised the sheer scale and competiveness of the IPL very early on.

I can tell you for sure there were many foreign players with dented egos being bowled out or hit for 6 by a local, so definitely the IPL is a serious tournament and a complete success.

For me, the bottom line is Twenty20 is the future of cricket for masses, whether we like it or not. It is what the public want and the numbers do not lie - county Twenty20 matches make far more money allround than the 3 day games.

Going back to the main reason for the argument, Pakistan beating India always provokes reaction - what do you expect when such fierce rivals go head to head. However, I for one have noted there is now far more genuine good feeling between the players and I put that down to the IPL.

The way in which the Indian fans embraced the Pakistan players, in particular Tanveer of Rajasthan Royals has left quite an impression on me for sure.

Pakistan Zindabad!!! India Zindabad!! Dosti Zindabad!!!

i do believe that 50 overs cricket will become an extinct game in a few years leaving just 20/20 and test cricket. the money being put into 20/20 will see it accelerate to level and then beyond 50overs cricket very soon.

Personally i don't think so and i bloody well hope not. 50 overs game for me is everything. Test cricket is too long a game and 20/20 is too short. 50 overs is perfect.

Having played both 20/20 and 50 over games i much prefer the 50 over game. As a batsman you want to have the time and space to play good skillful cricket, you don't get that in 20/20 which is just an all-out aggressive slogfest. It must be so painful for talented spinners and lower-order batsmen who rarely even get a look in.

Growing up i played 20/20 which was great fun but as you get older 50/50 is the true test of skill and endurance

Speaking as a neutral, it's all about Test Cricket.

IPL, ODI, Twenty20, they all come second to Test cricket.

Test cricket is the purest form of the game, all the players get a chance to bat as long as they can. All the bowlers can bowl an unlimited number of overs. The fielders can field wherever they want within the legside rules.

Twenty20 will probably usurp ODI's soon but it's still all about Test cricket.

WRT Asia Cup v World cup: You're only as good as your last result. Well done Pakistan

I hear you mate, but I think you'll find that 20/20 has become more than just a slogfest, it is a rapidly expanding version of the game and you cannot ignore it anymore.

They are at it again today.

                            Latest score:

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat.

Pakistan 299-4 off 50 overs. Malik top scored 125 (retired hurt)

India need 6 runs per over to win.

Kinell!! India are making light work of this.

                              107-1 off only 15 overs.
