Heard on the radio this morning that Dana White has agreed to give Bisping a title fight against Silva.
Can't see anything on the official site yet though.
haha nice one, the fight I was hoping for, for two reasons.
1. To see Bisping getting his ass kicked.
2. To see Anderson Silva kick his ass.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Just took a quick look on the web.
There are rumors of Silva fighting.
Okami
Liddell (Light Heavyweight)
GSP
Bisping
Bisping, IMO if it does happen, will happen late next year and that is if, Anderson Silva does not move up to light Heavy.

It a rumour, Dana White mentioned that the idea of Bisping vs Silva in a "English Soccer satdium" sometime next year, appeals to him.
ambitious, I don't think he will get anything near Ricky Hatton attendances.

Silva could fight all 4 of them at once with one tied behind his back and he'd still clean house.
Sylva and Liddell would be interesting, especially to see how Silva gets on with Liddells reach and striking. At least we would be guaranteed alot of striking.

Not GSP. That could go either way, the catch weight they fought at would have a big affect on the outcome of that fight.
GSP has much better wrestling and would be able to take Anderson down, and i think he would go onto win the fight from that position. Anderson is not the invincible warrior that alot of people think he is. His record in Pride really wasn't very special at all, he's on a tear at the moment though, but sooner or later someone will catch him, just like Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlai Silva, GSP, BJ Penn, Sakuraba, Gomi and others who were supposed to be unstoppable at times in their careers.
Remember, Travis Lutter came within seconds of beating The Spider.
For what it's worth i think Okami Would give him a good fight as well.

I think we're getting a little carried away about Silva at the moment.
Since moving to the UFC he's had 6 fights, 2 of which were against Ultimate Fighter series winners, 1 against another previous Pride fighter (Henderson, some fighters adapt better than others) one against a guy with 3 UFC fights and 2 losses to his name. The most impressive wins were against Franklin.
He looks the business, but he has been subsceptible to submissions and its just too early in his UFC career to think he's the best pound for pound fighter the UFC has ever seen. I think the middleweight division is looking a bit poor at the moment and Silva undoubtably stands out.
GSP would be an excellent test if he could step up a weight.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
this fight wont happen this year, bisping said after his last fight that yes it would be a honor but he dosnt deserve it yet and he is right, there are a few other fighters who deserve the shot before him and lets face it his last 2 fights have been walk overs so to go from them to silva is like goin to a gun fight with a water pistol, like he said himself he need to earn it....
and 1 thing that makes me laugh is why so many on here hate him,i wanna see him get his arsed kicked lol are you all serious,1st of he is british tryin to break into a sport that until him no decent british guy was in it,2nd yes he is arogent and cocky but come the **** on every fighter in the world is arogent and cockie its the way you have to be....even though he is a mank i want him to do well in the ufc cause its because of him that we are getttin more and more ufc shows over in the uk and given the chance for other young english people to break into the ufc....
get off his back and give him a chance.judge him on his performances in the octagon and not on what is said in the media or whats done outside the octagon

Fella you know that UFC has been going for longer than a few years right?
Ian Freeman was the first high profile British fella to fight in the UFC. He might not have won a title but he did pretty well during his time there. He defeated the likes of Frank Mir.

iam talkin about mainstream ufc which was only world wide huge like it is now for the past few years, even dana white has said so....i no there has been lots of uk guys fighting the guy who was beaten by kimbo was a mank....

The Key for anderson Silva is being able to keep the fight standing. If he can do that, he becomes a clear favourite in any fight. GSP could trouble him with his great shoot and take him down and finish from there. But he would still need to be careful. As close as Travis Luther came to beating silva, silva finished him off his back with a triangle choke and elbows and has very under rated ground game, especially when you consider who he trains with. He submitted Dan Henderson in his last fight which I don't think many would have seen coming. If he fought GSP, I would have to put Silva in as a clear favourite, but I can see why GSP could pose problems. I personally would like to see the Axe murderer coming down to Middleweight and fighting him.

I think to say he has been susceptible to submissions is a little unfair on him. Agreed his only two real losses come by way of submission, but I think that fact pays tribute to his stand-up more than anything. The Ryo Chonan Flying Heel Hook was a once in a lifetime move that we may never see again in top level MMA.

Personally mate, I don't really care who he represents or where he is from, I can understand why some will want the local lad to do well, I just like to see fighters fighting with respect and honour. I also disagree about all the fighters being arrogant and cocky, while yes, they all need a certain level of self belief, I don't think that qualifies them all as arrogant and cocky, alot of them are very humble and come across as real gentlemen in the octagon frequently showing their class. If Bisping can show me some class attitude in the octagon, and I don't mean just thanking the British Fans I will respect him more. As a fighter, I think he is over-rated, well he definitely was at light heavy, but seems to have found his weight class and should do well.
