So what? A bunch of journos don't like him, big deal.

I agree he does seem like a stroppy git but what's the problem with that? Do all sportsmen have to be happy smiley PR friendly automatons all the time?

Macenroe was notoriously happy all the time!

Personally, i'm not arsed if he's not a fan of the English football team...heck, i'm British and i love it when the other home nations get beat! And i'd happily stand before a bunch of Scottish journalists and say that if i were a big sportstar.

And i think Murray has a much better temperament that "Tiger" Tim...Murray hates losing, and wants to win at all costs, to be the best. That's the attitude you need in this sport. And that's what Henman lacked, a killer instinct.

Gutted i missed that interview, must of shocked a few people by calling Murray a prick live on air...

...or is it more likely he said that Murray was a difficult man to interview, that he can be a little bit arrogant at times and that he is a hard man to befriend?

I'm sure they said on the radio that they had a 5 setter at the Australian Open last year?

                          They did indeed. 2007 Aussie Open 6-7, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Murray just lost all his energy in that fifth set. Since then, he's worked hard on his fitness...however, since then, Nadal has improved drastically on non-clay surfaces, so Murray is a definite underdog today. I think he'll be lucky to take a set of Nadal...unless he can get Nadal running early, and see if his knees hold out.

Exactly, beast of match, and thats not grass so we'll just have to see, love the way the papers are bulding it with the 'Guns Vs Guns' water pistols compared to nadals, it'll be a good game!
Its a good reward for whoever gets through as well, both unseeded!

Murray starts as underdog, no doubt about that, but I think he can push Nadal today if he gets off to a good start and plays it smart. He needs to get the vast majority of his first serves in as his second serve is weak - he should try and get it to swing out wide if he can. The rain interruptions which may happen could be a factor.

But yes Nadal's game on all surfaces has improved so much. He is playing as well as he ever has done and he is the big favourite.
