Actually think as the tournaments progressed, his usage of the drop shot has improved...drag the opponent in then lob the ****er whilst he's stranded at the net...could be fun watching Nadal scampering round, cos that ******* will chase anything, and usually get there too!

Some of the ones against frenchy were woefull though, could of wrapped the game up sooner if he had played some different shots..Originally posted by Scratch View PostActually think as the tournaments progressed, his usage of the drop shot has improved...drag the opponent in then lob the ****er whilst he's stranded at the net...could be fun watching Nadal scampering round, cos that ******* will chase anything, and usually get there too!'The tide is very much in our court now.'

I agree. I think Murray needs to use all those traditional grass court shots like the drop shot and his volleying today as if he tries to just trade blows with Nadal from the back of the court he'll get blown away.Originally posted by Scratch View PostActually think as the tournaments progressed, his usage of the drop shot has improved...drag the opponent in then lob the ****er whilst he's stranded at the net...could be fun watching Nadal scampering round, cos that ******* will chase anything, and usually get there too!

I love all these people (mainly women, it has to be said) who have no interest in sport but suddenly become tennis experts during Wimbledon.
Had a good chat with our Health & Safety woman earlier. She heard me talking about Murray and comes over…
“Do you know what time it’ll be on? I can’t wait, I hope I get to see it. The Spaniard he’s up against will be tough to beat though eh? Number two isn’t he. I think Murphy might struggle to beat him, but I do hope Murphy wins.”Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think a little bit of rain will help Federer. The grass has been slowed during the last few years to accommodate TV and some players who were complaining that points were too quick. That's why players like Nadal have a shout these days.

What tennis one you go/going for, its all about virtua!Originally posted by Reece View PostI'm a bit like that in the sense that whenever these big events are on - Wimbledon, Ryder cup etc, I get the urge to either go and actually play those sports, or buy the equivalent computer game

No no no! I've played the demo of the new Top Spin 3 and it's pretty bloody good. Got good reviews too. As I said before I had Virtua Tennis about this time last year and part-ex'd it after a while. Will probably wait until my birthday next week, although may be tempted to get it before the weekend......Originally posted by Carras_Shin_Pads View PostWhat tennis one you go/going for, its all about virtua!
