What a game, best one in years and possibly ever!!! I took my self standing up shouting in the end, eventhough I was watching it alone!
I wanted Federer to take the record, but Nadal deserved it just as much today, a game that should have no looser IMO.
These two will have loads more finals against eachother in grand slams, a great rivalery going on here!

Normally steer well clear of tennis but made a point of watching this final
And wow what a ****ing match. 5 hours long in the end i think, that was amazing. I was supporting Federer all the way, unbelievable match. Brilliant stuff. Surely that has to go down as the greatest of all time??? Words couldnt do it justice

Only saw the last set, holy **** what a match.
Two of the best in the business going hell for leather."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Wimbledon is not the same again ... I mean, the grass is so ****ing slow. There's no chance Nadal would have won that 10 years ago. It's a disgrace to Tennis that they're changing the surface to allow for lesser skilled players (eg Nadal) to be able to compete.
Great for spectacle yes, but FFS, there's no way a spanish clay court player would have won a match such as that.
Gutted Fed didn't win last night.

Had it been played at Forest Hills it would have been a straight sets victory for Federer

So you prefer the "more skillful" serve & volley game?Originally posted by fredo View PostWimbledon is not the same again ... I mean, the grass is so ****ing slow. My point stands though. The fookin Wimbledon grass is cut in such a way that the ball just rebounds higher than it's due to. Nadal's balls are so difficult to contain as it's so high. Not disrespecting Nadal at all, he's a great player and fighter, but Federer is the better talent no doubt.
