Credit must go to KP today. Good day from him. He seemed to be encouraging the players today with little pats on the arse or the head. Good to see that.

He was asked to go back to County cricket to get overs under his belt and take wickets.
He did that, and at around 90mph too.
So why wait so long?
I've been advocating his recall and he's come up with the goods. WHAT a ****ing ball that was to Amla today. What a ball.
Credit to Anderson too who bowled some brilliant, brilliant stuff.
What with Harmy and Jimmy ripping through the South Africans, Colemere must've been watching through his fingers.
Moores veto'd the recall of Harmisson for the Headingley test feeling that the swing of Pattinson would be more effective than the pace of Harmisson.
It caused a major rift in the dressing room between Vaughan and Moores.
Credit to the bowlers today, can't really heap credit on Pieterson when some of the fields he set were..........bizarrely defensive.
Harmisson can do that when properly motivated, Anderson has been easily our form bowler for some time.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

I'm sure I heard somewhere Peitersen saying he wanted to bring passion back into the team...
**** Off you cunt, how can a South African bring more passion to English cricket than an Englishman as captain could, I hate this appointment, he has only done a few interviews and he gets on my tits.
Day one may have gone great but I still don't think he will be a good choice.
Bring Back Pako

KP makes more baby hundreds than any player I've ever known. I mean, it happens a lot....batsmen switch off just that little bit, lose a tiny amount of concentration and they're gone, but with KP it's nearly all the time.
Ambrose fails again. He's not in the side to score runs, primarily, but it helps and other, better bats before him have been ruthlessly axed (Read after making 50 ffs) so he has to go.
Lovely knock from Colly. Loving it. I should pick the team.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm not sure it was all that impressive to be honest. We have always been good in dead rubbers.Originally posted by SouthAfricaRed View PostGood win for England in the last Test
Should make the One day Series very interesting now
In general though Pieterson was less horrible as a captain than I expected and we got the win which was important. Other than Harmison as a strike bowler I don't think this test provided answers to any of the questions we had (Wicketkeeper, Strauss as an opener, Monty going backwards as a fielder and pissing off umpires with his appealing and no longer progressing as a bowler).
The one dayers will indeed be interesting though. Without Harmison I expect you to win quite easily unless the change in captaincy makes a big difference to the way we perform."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
