    Favourite sports pesonality ever

Apart from LFC players past and present; which sportsman (ok then - OR sportswoman! would you most like to meet?

My idol was Sugar Ray Leonard. Man could that fella box.......

Havent seen much of Leonard in action. I'd have to say the obvious in Ali and Jordan. More so Michael Jordan. Man he was awesome.

That Bulls team with Rodman, Pippen and Longley in it were awesome. Also I am not a Basketball fan, but that team I had great admiration for as a Sports fan.

As an Australian I'd have to say Steve Waugh as well. Great man and a great cricketer.

      Rubin " the Hurricane" Carter.

I know quite a few won't know who he is, some will but will know little about his personality.

I've met the man, he's a hugely impressive character. It was a great experience to sit and talk with him, one I'll never forget.

Ernie Shavers, purely cos he was one helluva boxer, superb, yet now he works the doors in the Yates' in town.

Yet he does it with class, holds the door open, says 'have a good evening sir', dofs an imaginary cap to the ladies, & treats everyone with respect, yet never shows any bitterness about where he is, compared to where he was.

A legend in my eyes at least.

Good shout with Michael Jordan, he did things with that basketball that the latest superstars still can only dream about. He was pretty much the ultimate athlete. 6'6" tall, super fast, he could jump from 5 metres away from the basket and still Slam-dunk.

John Charles for me, Still loved by Juventus fans. He's one person I would have loved to have met. I was in the same room as him once though in one of those Football Dinner Speech things

was too scared to go up to him! he was twice as big as me!

                Haha .....

He certainly puts "The Hurricane" to shame..... although I don't remember Bob Dylan writing a song about Ernie.

My uncle was quite a successful boxer in the '60s and fought Carter twice. Lost the first on points and won the rematch.
Interesting to hear him talk about Carter. For what it's worth he thought he was bang to rights and has been fortunate to benefit from the whole 'Hurricane' bandwagon - kind of a rewriting of history.

Me, I'm not so sure. Can't over-estimate the degree of institutional racism around in the Yoosay at the time. It doesn't require that great a leap of faith to envisage a major stitch-up.

I realise tennis is pretty gay and all that and it is by no means a sport that is close to my heart, but Roger Federer is so good it almost makes you want to cry.

I've no desire to meet the bloke or anything, but he is as near to sporting perfection as I've ever seen. He's majestic. Poetry in motion.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                      Mine is rather boring compared!

Would love to meet Ronnie O'Sullivan. He seems such a top bloke, even though he looks troubled, when he plays snooker, it looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. Would love to have a natter over a few beverages.

Brought some life back to snooker after Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry.
It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!! Way Yeh, Way Yeh!!

Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.

Chuck Norris ordered a Big Mac at Burger King. And got one.
