Yea was watching it on Zee, they gave us a lesson in cricket there.
Murali was sublime, a real joy to watch him at his best.
Mendis is bloody ace aswell, perfect replacement for Murali when he decides to retire.

As for my boys they were piss poor, its time for the old gaurd to retire (VVS, Sourav & Rahul) Also Kumble shouln't be captain or in the team, time to give Piyush Chawla his chance and ditch Bhaji for Ojha. We were piss poor in the field but i guess that is expected with a team off old fogies. We missed MS Dhoni

      Time to make him captain

Also i don't like Kirsten as coach

Oh yea have you heard about the world cup of test cricket ot summit they want to intruduce soon? wtf is all that about

I agree Dhoni should be captain.

Kirsten has no chance whilst the old guard run the show. Give him youngsters and he will show everyone what he can do

Nope, havent heard of it, but it will be difficult to implement. What will they do if test is a draw after 5 days?

I think he might be but he has taken the summer off lol.

dunno, apparently its will be sum kind of league structure that will last 2 years (obv 20/20 and 50 over games will be placed inbetween) and the team at the top will be world test champions or summit. There hoping to have the 'idea' finalised by next summer.

It seems similar to the current Test Rankng system, based on Home/Away Results

Test Cricket needs some PR to keep up with T20

I would like to see him bowl on a pitch that doesnt assist him tht much, but he had a Brilliant start against the Best players of Spin

I also question the commitment of the Indian players. They showed no fighting spirit. India only seems to play well against Australia or when their backs are against the wall. I'm also convinced that the IPL had a Huge part to play in this performance. The players didnt seen focussed on the job

maybe, i just think that a lot of the old boys have become quite complacent and there wasnt anyone willing to step up and steady the innings. The old boys do need to be phased out, otherwise the young-28yr olds who should be securing the future, wont get enough exposure and will struggle if all of the old boys go at once.

Milky-I;m not too sure about Dhoni being captain, just not fully convinced by him, but Kumble aside, cant see anyone else up to the job-would they give it back to Sourav?

I said at the time that Ganguly should be our captain as he was ace when captain before he fell out with the coach.
For me Dhoni is the next captain and i don't think Anil should be in the team so MS should be captain (I think he has proven himself at 20/20 and 50 overs) and its time to give him the role after the Sri Lanka tour.

Mendis and Murali rip through our team again taking 8 wickets between them

What an innings by Shewag though, ****ing class. 201 off just 231 balls altho thats abit slow considering he got to his 100 in 80 odd balls

Bhaji takes a couple of quick wickets to give us a lil chance, really need to rip through your middle order and tail to have a chance of winning.

****ing pathetic batting performance from us though, Shewag, Laxman and \Gambhi aside, no one into double figures. That's just wrong. If Shewag hadnt had his innings we'd be really ****ed.
