It's fun to while away half an hour watching a ridiculous sport or two, the 100m is always fascinating and it might be interesting seeing how our boys do in the football....

But, ultimately, The Oympic Games...who gives a **** ?

At this moment in time I don't give a flying ****, but once it starts I will probably develop a minor interest. Although it's riddled with cheats I'll probably try and catch the blue riband track & field events - sprints, middle distance - and that'll be about it.

Loved it as a kid - Seoul 88 was phenomenal - but somehow it seems totally pointless these days.

I think is has something to do with the fact of the amount of performance enhacing drug cheats that has been uncovered.

It seems to have taken taken the shine off it these days.

I only really remember Coe and Ovett as being edge of the seat watching.

Echoes my sentiments, but what with the hooha over the opening ceremony i thought i'd hook it up in the office... Blown away with it. ****ing Superb!

That fly over, with the fireworks resembling footsteps walking across Beijing up to the stadium was ****ing class.

It truly is epic, i think i'm gonna get this **** on DVD! A magnus opus of a spectacle. Pisses all over that hideous nonsense at the Euros.

That said, it is getting a bit boring now, but i'm expecting ****ing dinosaurs or some **** after this parade.

Unfortunately this is as good as it'll get for me.

The opening ceremony was unbelievable. I like the gymnastics - the power of the men, the grace and poise of the women. The Olymics is great.
