In other good news Irish boxer Ken Egan won his semi final in the light heavyweight division today and will box for the gold on Sunday.

The Jamaicans did it again in the 4x100m relay smashing the world record by 3 tenths of a second with a time of 37.10. Bolt ran the 3rd leg round the bend with a time of 9.96s

Anyone see the women's BMX races.
I know that Shanaze Reade crashed out but what guts she has and it was so obvious it was gold or nothing. The power she showed out of the blocks and her determination could easily see her moving over to the track events.

I saw that. Those races are amazingly frantic - it's like MarioKart on BMXs. ****ing mental. She was so unlucky - could've settled for a silver medal but went for it by taking that inside line.

You are kidding? Maybe a cross between rugby and basketball. It's popular in most other European countries, pros get paid well in Germany, Spain and France. There is a Champions League and everything!

Try and watch the final, it should be good, even the Chinese are shouting Iceland on, it can be exciting. It's on at 8:45 your time I think though
