Even though he's exhausted after Wimbledon Nadal will crush Murray. He's in a different league.

I agree but if Murray plays like he did against Djokovic then he'll have half a chance.

I'll be stunned if he takes a set off Rafa.

Should be a good match though, Murray's confidence must be sky high, so we'll see...

          Nadal in straight sets methinks

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Murray is playing as well as he can, credit to him, he's more than holding his own. You just feel as though Nadal has got another gear if he needs it though.

              Nadael wins 7-6 6-3

Murray played well tonight there is no denying that, really gave Rafa a run for his money.

Was surprised by how much more threatening Murray looks on the hard courts, his double-handed backhand was fantastic tonight.

              A great match.

I think Murray has a major or 2 in him, I really do. I like the lad too.

I know he lost but what a tremendous performance from Murray. I actually feel he deserved to win that game. The volley into the net at deuce on Nadal's serve at 5-3 was so unlucky. Fine margins. Great game to watch - haven't seen Nadal stretched and frustrated like that for a long time. I think the return of serve winners read 0-5 to Murray. Some of his backhand winners were a joy.

But if that is Murray playing at his best and that was the closest he got, I think Murray has a long way to go. In fact I dont think he will topple Nadal. The tennis that Nadal is playing at the moment has seen him virtually catch federer up and almost overtake him, just cant see anyone toppling Nadal at the moment.

Federer wasn't at his best this season after contracting some sort of virus initially. He's had to play catch up fitness wise. He's still got a margin of progression (as is Nadal) as he's barely 27.

I don't think Murray is ever going to win a major.

We hear a lot about his promise but the likes of Djokovic and Nadal are roughly the same age as him and are already, along with Federer, the best players in the world.

Murray's good but I can't see him making the leap to the next level.

He 's going to be another Henman, a perennial contender but not enough to his game to take it to the next level.

I also wonder about the mental side of his game. For such a young guy he does seem to have rather a large chip on his shoulder at times.

If he was going to be a champion he would have been right up there and in semis/finals on a regular basis.
