After Spurs, Boxing is my second sporting love. However, once every four years, weightlifting comes around at the Olympics.

This is one sport where I feel passion for them as human beings and no bias as to their place of origin.

This is about one man, giving everything to the full until he has nothing left. Those few seconds of agony are compelling viewing. I find my body going taut when I watch in empathy. What a fantastic sport. Highlight of the games for me.

i came in here to ask if anyone saw the weightlifting yesterday, with the South Korean lad whose leg cramped, thus crumpling under the weight. Lucky he didnt injure himself badly. The crazy ******* actually attempted it again, but as soon as he we to lift he felt it start again and dropped the weight.

Then he comes out a third time, determined to lift it, he got the crowd going etc trying to pump himself up....then lifted, but just couldnt do it, and actually fell face first onto the floor with the weights rolling forward too. He got a good cheer for trying, and it's what i love to see at the Olympics

But all i see is some poor ******* whose guts appear to have fallen out of his arsehole
