Excellent performance last night. He will now be ranked 4 in the world. Outstanding stuff. That Del Potro has a huge forehand but he seemed dispirited at times last night.

The semis could/should be the top 4 - Murray v Nadal and Federer v Djokovic

Yeah it was a good match, Murray played both brilliantly and poorly at times, but was generally more consistent and deserved his win. That del potro can **** a ball though, fair play to the lad. Murray vs Nadal will, should anyway, be a great match against 2 very tough, different players, id say Murray needs to use the slice a fair bit and the drop shot sparingly as Nadal is quick! That said its a great shot to have in his locker as Nadal does tend to stay far back.

Really looking forward to this.

Murray has done brilliantly and could give Nadal a real game. He is playing on his best surface and Nadal has looked a little bit tired, which is understandable given the year he has had. Murray will need to be a bit more consistent though - a couple of times last night he broke serve only to be broken straight back with some of his worst tennis. If he makes errors like that Nadal will kill him. I do think if he plays like he did against Wawrinka he has an excellent chance though.

I like your optimism but id have to say i expect a fed vs nadal final again. I think fed will fairly easily beat djokovic and nadal to overcome murray in a 5 setter.

Hope im wrong though and ill be watching......Murray match been brought forward to 16.00 gmt as bad weather threatens later.

Yeah it's Fed v Nadal for me but this is outstanding. In any other era Djok and Murray would be at the very pinnacle.

Murray is easily the most improved player on the circuit. An outstanding year.
