It's a combination of fighting some very mediocre fighters coupled with the fact that he knows he's not going to get knocked out by those guys so he's got into the habit of not defending

You can only learn from fighting proper tough opponents. We often criticize his management for putting him up against nobodies who can't fight so we cant blame them for this fight. He had it coming, i blame his management for over-hyping Khan but then thats how they make their money.

I seen this coming a mile off, it was obvious Prescott was dangerous but it was the right fight at the right time. Khan will now realise how much work he needs to do and it can only help him.

Its known Khan has a glass jaw, and its been rumoured that they've tried to milk as much money as possible because of this because it was only a matter of time before this actually happened and the bubble burst....well, it happened a lot quicker.

For those complaining about the Sky deal, well, apparently this is what had to be done because of the amount of money that Khan and his family were demanding per fight (£350,000 according to this guy on Setanta).

I'm wondering where does all the stick come from. Both get knocked yet Hatton is applauded for his bravery and courage yet Khan is mocked.

Is this a wind up? Hatton was proven the best light Welterweight in the world and went up to challenge a 5 weight world champion and the greatest boxer of recent years. Amir Khan got his arsed handed to him within 50 seconds against a fighter who hadn't beaten anybody of note. All after declaring he's "ready for Pacquiao" "i'll be a world champ within a year" etc, of course Khan will get more grief.

Have to agree with you there.

There is just an underlying, slightly uncomfortable feeling that people are happy he got knocked out because of the colour of his skin and his ethnic origin - certainly some individuals on this forum have all but admitted this.

Last night I said Khan should retire, but having heard the general backlash I now hope from the bottom of my heart that he gets back to basics and proves he can fight again.

I don't think he can ever be world class, however he certainly proved that he is able to beat the best on these shores, a fact that most of the bigots seem to have forgotten.
