Have to agree with you there.

There is just an underlying, slightly uncomfortable feeling that people are happy he got knocked out because of the colour of his skin and his ethnic origin - certainly some individuals on this forum have all but admitted this.

Last night I said Khan should retire, but having heard the general backlash I now hope from the bottom of my heart that he gets back to basics and proves he can fight again.

I don't think he can ever be world class, however he certainly proved that he is able to beat the best on these shores, a fact that most of the bigots seem to have forgotten.

I don't know who in particular you are referring to here, but thats a cheap shot, don't believe it has anything to do with it.

Secondly, his camp have demanded extortionate amounts of money per fight, again for someone with hardly any professional experience. So much so that they it had to go PPV to cover the costs.

Finally, this guy was given no chance by the experts, 1 fight in 12 months and stepping up a weight. A lot of us like the underdog.

Anyway, how is this to do with the colour of his skin, Prescott (who most of us are cheering) just happens to be black!

Disagree - he beat almost all the fighters this country could offer. Agree that he is too cocky, but that seems to come with the territory. Oh, and a boxer talking about being a world champ? Shock, Horror!! What do you expect him to say? LMFAO.

Both Sky and Warren are guilty here. I think the MEN arena was pretty full as well, so he must have a decent enough fan base. Sky would have done the maths and felt this fight would give them a decent return - we shall see.

Disagree - all we kept hearing was how this guy was a big puncher and how he could trouble Khan. Sure Khan was the favourite, but by no means was the other guy the traditional underdog.

This will be the most controversial aspect of my response - whether you like it or not, racism takes many different forms. I am sure there are people who like blacks but are racist against 'P***s'. You catch my drift?

I was watching the boxing hour on Friday, 2 experts talking....I take their word over yours sorry. Prescott has been fighting at a lower level, he should've been no threat. Thats their words and I take it they know what they're talking about, but in boxing there is always a punchers chance, and thats what Prescott had.

You don't talk about being a world champion after fighting a couple of nobodies....or at least you do as long as you're prepared to come over as a cocky git....which he has, hence the reaction.

That fight (although 50 seconds long) was enough to see that Precott had real pedigree.

You don't come to a new continent where everyone in the stadium loves your opponent and throw the kind of punches he did unless you're the real deal.

Whether you rate Khan or not you can't deny that his combination punching can be very good and his hand speed immense and Prescott made it look like he was fighting a 50 year old. He's young, aggressive, powerful, fast as **** off a shovel and has no fear whatsoever. He still has a lot to prove in terms of his chin and defence but he's no dud and we will be hearing a lot more about him.
